Wood Restoration

  1. Start with a weaker stripper and then you can increase it from there
  2. Wash with the grain of the wood
  3. Wash from the top down
  4. Sodium hydroxide to strip - wait 15 minutes for each coat as needed
  5. Stay away from the house and apply from the house outward so it does not get on the house and if it does rinse immediately.
  6. Rinse, rinse, and rinse again.  Rinse everything.

Steps:

  1. Strip the wood (use 600-1100 PSI)
  2. Rinse
  3. Brighten the wood using oxalic
  4. Rinse
  5. Let dry
  6. Offer sanding (more $ but sanding is not required and must be blown off if sanded)
  7. Prep for stain
  8. Brush, roll on, or spray on stain.
  9. One heavy coat on all surfaces and then another coat for flat surfaces
