  • Name something the girl does on the farm. Use the pictures to help you.

Writing: Writing your Introduction!

  • Begin writing Chapter 1 of your first book about your character! Make sure you think of what you want to write. Then, say the beginning of your story out loud while touching the page. After that, draw the scene. Then, write your idea.

  • Writers include clear beginnings in their stories so that the reader can make a picture in their mind.  One way to do this is to tell the time and place.

  • Writers describe their setting . One way to do this is to talk about where the characters are and what the characters could see around them:
