Seventh Grade Newsletter No 09

Dear Parents,

Our students had a wonderful time at Wolf Mountain. What an amazing time of fellowship and fun while spending time in God’s presence - truly a memorable experience for all. Thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Sonnenfelt, Mrs. Ferrari, Mr. Brazovan, and Mr. Armstrong for transporting our students and serving as sponsors at camp.

Feed My Starving Children Mobile-Pack Event - Friday, October 20. Permission slips and informational letters were sent home last Friday.  Please return permission slips by this Friday, October 13. We are officially registered for this event, and we are looking forward to a great day of service with your child. You may visit for more information about the event.

Parent/Teacher Conferences - Thursday & Friday, October 26-27

First quarter ends on October 20 - this means conference time is coming soon, and we are really looking forward to meeting with you.  Please click HERE to schedule a time to meet with us to confer about your child’s progress through the 1st quarter.  

Just a reminder -  Thursday, October 26, is a minimum day and students will be dismissed at 12:00 P.M. On Friday, October 27, there will be no school. Daycare is still available for both days.


Middle School Teachers.


Bible (Mr. Ortiz):

Last week we had an amazing time at Wolf Mountain! I am excited to continue our lessons as your students grow in their relationship with Christ. The scripture quiz for this week is 1 Peter 1:15-16. This week we will be finishing up Unit 2. This means our Unit Test is coming up on Wednesday October 18.

Language Arts (Mrs. Johnson):

This week, students will learn spelling/vocabulary List 7 with a test on Friday. In grammar, we will continue to study punctuation and begin summary writing. In literature, we will continue to study point of view. Students will begin reading a Christian historical fiction novel entitled A Father’s Promise, and they will be required to complete comprehension questions along the way and write a book report as well. The book report is due November 2.

Math Course 2 (Mrs. Northman):

Students will complete Lessons 26-29.  They will also have a test on Wednesday.

Math 7/6 (Mrs. Johnson):

Students will complete Lesson 30 on Monday. Test 5 will be taken on Tuesday. We will complete Lessons 31 and 32 on Wednesday and Thursday.

*Students who score a C or lower on any assignment or test must do corrections by the next test date.

Social Studies (Mrs. Daniel):

Students will start studying Chapter 5, “Emergence of European Culture.”

Science: (Mrs. Northman):

Students will take a test Tuesday covering chapter 3.  They will then begin a study of cell activities.

Music (Dr. Muntean):

Finish learning “Amazing Grace” and learning second phrase of “Ode to Joy”. Begin first section of “Sing We Now.”
