Congratulations to the Fox C-6 Winterguard on their FIRST PLACE finish in Scholastic Regional A division on Saturday at the MCCGA State Championships!!! They also had the highest score among over 50 groups in their category!

"Congratulations to the Seckman Archery team for taking 1st place as a team at the St. Louis Shootout this weekend. We also had some individual achievements as well. Abby Bieser scored a new PR, Natalee Joynes scored a new PR, Josie Lenzen scored a PR and took 5th place, Ian Slaven scored a PR and took 2nd place, Alexa Formby scored a PR and took 2nd place and Abbi Hartigan took 1st place overall. Great job!"

Last night the Varsity Girls Basketball Team defeated Northwest 60-27 to up their record to 13-11 and secure 2nd place in their conference. They will finish up the regular season Thursday Night at Summit. Come out and support our girls as they get ready for districts next week.

The Varsity Girls Basketball Team defeated Rockwood Summit last night 54-41 behind 27 points by Mollie Bailey and 16 points by Julia Pfau. They finish the regular season with a record of 14-11. They start districts next Thursday at 3:30 against Lindbergh at Lindbergh.

2/20: "Congratulations to Abbi Hartigan for placing 2nd and scoring a 293 in the Border Wars 9 State Archery tournament over the weekend. Come cheer on your archery team this Saturday here at SHS."

Seckman women’s wrestling competed at districts this past weekend. The team had an amazing weekend with 9 out of 14 girls qualifying for the state tournament. Congratulations too district champ Emma Donze, second place finishers, Kaylee Horman and Abby Holder. Third place finishers Caroline Owens, and fourth place finishers tiara korman, nadia Steinhoff, Summer Hohman, Lilly, Julius, and Madison Clover. The team took second overall and has the third most state qualifiers in Missouri. This weekend, Friday and Saturday, the men’s team will compete for their chance to qualify for state. Wrestling begins at 5 PM on Friday and 10 AM on Saturday at Northwest high school. Hope to see you all there.

"The Fox C-6 winterguard performed at the Francis Howell festival and placed 1st in their round. They had a fantastic performance and will be performing again on Feb. 22 at Lee Summit West Festival in Kansas City."

"Congrats to the varsity boys basketball team on their 65-48 win over Ladue last night. The Jaguars were led by 28 points from Sam Guethle (Gee-Lee), and 17 points from Sam Wason! Seckman men’s wrestling competed at the Winnetonka tournament this past weekend, one of the toughest tournaments in the state. The team finished in 10th Place. Congratulations too Kaemen Orine sixth place, Dorian Clark fifth place, Jacob Vandereit fifth Place, Jeremiah McClain second place, and your tournament champion Chance Ruble. Please come out and support the men’s and women’s wrestling team as they wrestle for the conference championship against Lafayette on Wednesday.

Starting Monday, February 3rd Key Club will be selling wooden roses during lunch for $2 each. Roses will be given out during AcLab on Valentine's Day.

2 weekends ago! both varsity teams placed 3rd at the Lafayette Tournament with Chance Ruble and Kaylee Horman both placing 1st and Kaeman Orine and Caroline Owens placing 2nd.

This past weekend both varsity teams were tournament champions at St. Charles West with Kaylee Horman, Abbi Holder, Maddie Clover, Dorian Clark, Carson Owens and Jeremiah McClain bringing home first place wins. Kaeman Orine, Nicky Giacalone, Chance Ruble, Skylar Bain, Emma Donze and Caroline Owens and all placing second.

Kaylee Horman also broke the Seckman girls' record for the most wins.

Last night, the men’s and women’s wrestling team had clean sweep against Eureka. The men’s Freshman won 39 to 37. The men’s JV team won 66-10 and Men’s varsity won 55-18. The women’s varsity team won 42-33.

Sophia took 2nd place overall in Poetry speaking, Elle Salender was the 1st place champion in both Storytelling and Original Oratory. Seckman's team won the 2nd place overall Sweepstakes award."

Last night, the Seckman Mens and Womens Wrestling team swept Fox. Mens Freshman won 54-15, Men's JV won 66-12, Mens Varsity won 55-24 and the Women's Team won 83-0. Special thank you to everyone that came out and supported the program, especially the Bleacher teachers. Tonight the Wrestling program will take on Rivals Northwest. Start time is 5pm at Northwest. Seckman wrestling kicked off the women’s season at the Troy Scramble and the Rookie Wonder women tournament Saturday. 34 out of 40 girls competed Saturday! The Rookies took 1st place out of 27 teams. The district is hosting a penny drive at the high schools next week! Drop off any loose change you have in the lobby before classes begin and during aclab. This money will be used to help give gifts to families in need. The school with the most money raised will get to dunk a teacher/admin in a dunk tank!

Congratulations to the Jaguar Pride Marching Band on making finals and finishing in 7th place at the Washington Marching Festival on Saturday! The festival was highly-competitive and our Jaguar Pride represented the school well!

In honor of Hispanic Heritage month, the officers of the Spanish National Honor Society have hidden some flags around the building with some facts about the corresponding countries. There are game boards to play a game to find all of the flags around the building and win a prize (there is more than one prize).

SADD chapter is selling Suicide Awareness t-shirts throughout the rest of September - you can pick up an order form at lunch or in the office - there are QR codes around school to see the different designs. Almost all of the designs are $20. We will also be selling bracelets at lunches also with half of the proceeds going to JED which will then double their donation to Suicide Awareness causes.

The Costa Ricans are coming, The Costa Ricans are coming! They will be here in January for 3 1/2 weeks. We need to find 17 more host families to help host them, please let Mrs Graczak know (room 129) if you are interested in hosting a Costa Rican. It is a great experience and you could gain a family extension in Costa Rica! We will be having a meeting about the hosting and our trip to Costa Rica in July for 3 1/2 weeks on Wednesday, September 4 at 6:30 -- please let Mrs Graczak know if you are interested in going on the trip also - there is a sign up outside her door.

Key Club Meeting, Thursday September 5th at 2:05-3:05 pm. Students learn how to lead and stand for what's right through service and volunteerism. In partnership with their local Kiwanis club, high school students make a positive impact as they serve others in their schools and communities.

There will be a meeting today for girls interested in playing basketball at 9:00am in the cafeteria.

Archery tryouts will be held on the next 3 Wednesdays September 4th, 11th and 18th from 3-5:15 at Seckman Middle School in the gym. Anyone interested in trying out is welcome and no equipment is needed.
