袁牧師將於8月16至25日帶領4位弟兄姐妹 (Agnes Ng, Kan Ip, May Kwok, Wilson Tsui) 到墨西哥蒂華納短宣。
今天兒童部於崇拜後為墨西哥短宣隊籌款，請踴躍支持。短宣隊的捐款可以透過電子方式轉賬： finance@rhcbc.org ， (教會將提供退稅收據) ， 請註明 "Mexico STM"。籌款目標為＄2,300 (直至8 月8日，已籌得$1,600)。
Rev. Jack Yuen will lead 4 brothers and sisters (Agnes Ng, Kan Ip, May Kwok, Wilson Tsui) on a short mission trip to Tijuana, Mexico from August 16th to 25th.
The Children 's Ministry will organize a fundraising today after Cantonese/Mandarin worship for the Mexico STM. Donations will be accepted in cash during the event, as well as through e-transfer via finance@rhcbc.org (church will issue tax receipt). Please specify in the message section “Mexico STM”. The fundraising goal is $2,300 (up to Aug 8, we have raised $1,600).

The STM team arrived in Tijuana today. Praise the Lord for the smooth process going through the US to the Mexico border. We met up with our sponsored missionaries Wendy and KK today and continued to discuss our plans for the coming week. We will be going to the sewing factory tomorrow at noon to sing and spread the gospel to the workers. In the afternoon there will be women and kids coming to church for activities. May God use all these opportunities to glorify His name.

這是下週暑期聖經日營的海報，至今，我們仍不確定是否會有孩童參加，皆因有好些孩童已回家鄉渡假，也有部分家長為到一週後開始上學而減少子女在此期間作任何活動包括暑期聖經日營，請為週末期間的招生禱告，願神大大使用聖經日營，讓更多孩童聽聞福音。
This is the poster for the VBS next week. We are still unsure if there will be any children attending. Some children are back to their home country for vacation and some will start school the following week so the parents do not want them to do anything during the week of the VBS. Please pray for recruitment during the weekend.
今天中午我們去了一家製衣廠，和工人們一起唱了一些中文流行歌曲和聖詩。 下午，我們在教會有一些康樂時間，大部分來的是祖母與她們的孫兒。大人們做手工，孩子們有遊戲，我們與當地的祖母交談並與孩子們一起玩耍。 求上帝打開他們的心來明天的敬拜和暑期聖經班，也為我們能在這裡與他們建立良好的關係而禱告。
請為明天的敬拜禱告。袁牧師會負責講道，其他團員則負責領詩、禱告和兒童活動等。 願神的名得榮耀。
Today at noon we went to a garment factory and sang some Chinese pop songs and hymns with the workers. In the afternoon we had some recreational time at church, participants were mostly grandmothers and their grandchildren. The adults did crafts while the children played. We talked to the local grandmothers and played with the children. May God open their hearts for tomorrow’s worship service and the upcoming VBS, and pray that we can have good relationships with them during our stay.
Please pray for tomorrow’s worship service. Rev. Yuen will be responsible for preaching, and other team members will be responsible for leading singspiration, praying, and children's activities. May God’s name be glorified.

讚美主，早上與弟兄姊妹和鄰居渡過了一個美好的團契時光。 當孩子們玩耍時，我們有足夠時間以不同的語言（粵語夾雜台山話、普通話和英語）與他們交談聊天，同時間，宣教士KK大汗淋漓地為我們20多人預備了豐富午膳；午飯後，敬拜隨即以唱詩和禱告展開，袁牧師以帖撒羅尼迦前書 5 章 16-18 節的「常常喜樂」作為信息； 孩子們在另一個房間裏，興高采烈地玩表情符號遊戲，之後，他們聽了一個有關喜樂的故事，及做了與「常常喜樂」相關的勞作。 崇拜結束後，大家歡喜快樂地為八月生日的舉辦了生日派對，除了美味的水果、食品、遊戲及小禮物外，家長很是感謝短宣隊幫助他們佈置場地，充滿了開心的生日氣氛，大人小孩、宣教士及短宣隊享受了一個有愛又愉快的下午。其間，短宣隊把握時機，積極邀請孩子於週二來參與暑期聖經班，很多家長及孩童都給予我們很正面的回應， 願神利用這一切機會讓鄰舍認識祂。
明天我們將參觀附近的海灘和住在該地區附近的一對夫婦。 願聖靈感動我們將要拜訪的人的心，並賜給我們智慧，說出合宜的話語。
Praise the Lord, we spent a wonderful time of fellowship with brothers, sisters and neighbors in the morning. While the children were playing, we had enough time to chat with them and the mothers and grandmothers in different languages (Cantonese mixed with Taishanese, Mandarin and English). At the same time, missionary KK worked hard and prepared a rich lunch for more than 20 of us; After lunch, worship began with singing and prayer. Pastor Yuan used "Rejoice always" in 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 as his message; the children were in another room, happily playing an emoticon game; after that, they listened to a story about joy and did the work related to the same theme. After the worship service, we held a birthday party for the August’s. In addition to delicious fruits, food, games and small gifts, the parents were very grateful to the short-term mission team for helping them decorate the venue. Everyone including the adults, children, missionaries and short-term mission teams enjoyed a loving and enjoyable afternoon. During this period, the short-term mission team seized the opportunity and actively invited children to participate in the VBS on Tuesday. Many parents and children gave us a very positive response. May God use all these opportunities to let neighbors know Him.
Tomorrow we will visit a nearby beach and a couple who live near the area. May the Holy Spirit touch the hearts of those we will visit and give us wisdom to speak appropriately.

今天是宣教士的休息日。 我們去了蒂華納海灘（Playas de Tijuana），拜訪了住在附近的一對夫婦。 之後我們去了當地的Costco，KK買了一些煮食材料，我們買了一些禮物給暑期聖經班的小孩。 然後我們準備了之後幾天暑期聖經班的材料。 願神賜我們智慧，在接下來的幾天裡清楚地向小孩子傳達祂的訊息。也請為我們下午拜訪一些餐廳老闆和鄰居禱告。
Today is the resting day for the missionaries. We went to Playas de Tijuana (Beach of Tijuana) and visited a couple who lives nearby. Afterwards we visited the local Costco while KK purchased groceries and we purchased gifts for VBS. We then prepared materials for VBS. May God grant us wisdom to clearly deliver His message to the students in the next few days. Please also pray for our visitations to some restaurant owners and neighbors in the afternoon.

在四天暑期聖經日營，我們為孩童聽到「救恩」，内容是以獅子表達神全能美好的創造；蛇象徵罪；驢子代表耶穌的謙卑順服以至於死在十架上；鴿子帶出與神復和的美好。求神的靈與我們和孩子們同在，不但將救恩賜與小孩，亦藉此帶回他們的家庭。
今天早上是暑期聖經日營的第一天，上午 10 時開始了，但房間裡空無一人，我們各人心裏禱告神，漸漸地，孩子們陸陸續續走進來🥹。感謝主，直到上午11點左右，有7名孩童到達了😂。開始之先，大家一起唱了兒童詩歌，然後我們觀看了影片並討論了一些關於獅子的特徵，隨後講了但以理在獅子坑的故事。之後我們齊齊動手做了明天的零食（果凍），又用動物餅乾做了一個遊戲，最後我們幫助小孩開心地完成了獅子帽手工。回家時，每人都會帶一張關於當天故事的填色紙離開。請為他們在接下來的幾天裡繼續學習救恩與禱告。
下午Wendy和KK帶領兩個隊伍去探訪。Agnes、May、袁牧師與KK往Villa區的5家餐廳，短宣隊與餐廳老闆們交談並與他們一起祈禱，儘管他們不是信徒，他們很高興牧師為他們祝福，並允許我們為他們祈禱。Kan 和 Wilson 與 Wendy 拜訪了住在教會同一棟大樓裡的兩個家庭，了解及關心他們的生活近況，他們也很開放地與我們相交對話，並與他們一起祈禱；祈願聖靈開啟他們的心，除了聽聞好訊息外，也能夠接受耶穌的愛與福音。
明天我們的暑期聖經日營將會以蛇來帶出罪惡來到世界，願上帝引導我們傳達的訊息，使孩童歸向祂。
We hope to bring salvation through 4 different animals. The lion is used to represent God’s almighty and beautiful creation; the snake is used to represent sin; the donkey is used to represent Jesus’ humble obedience leading to death on the cross; the dove is used to represent reconciliation with God. Pray that God’s Spirit will be with us and the children, not only to impart salvation to the children, but also to bring salvation into their families.
This morning we started the first day of VBS. The program was supposed to start at 10am, but the room was empty. Then we saw children coming one by one. Praise the Lord, until around 11am, we had 7 children arrive. We started with singing some children hymns together, then we watched a video and discussed some facts about lions, followed by the story about Daniel in the lion den. Afterwards we made tomorrow’s snacks together (jello), did a game using the animal crackers and finished with a lion hat craft. Each day the children would bring home a piece of coloring sheets about the day’s story. Please pray that they will continue to come in the next few days to learn about salvation.
In the afternoon we had 2 separate teams led by Wendy and KK going to visit different groups. Agnes, May, Rev. Yuen went with KK to visit 5 restaurants in the Villa district. The group talked to the owners in the restaurants and prayed with them. Despite they are non believers, they were happy to receive blessings from God and allowed us to pray for them. Kan and Wilson went with Wendy to visit 2 families living in the same complex as the church. They had good discussions with the families and were able to pray for them as well. May the Holy Spirit open their hearts.
Tomorrow our VBS will discuss how sin comes to the world using snake as a symbol. May God guide us on the message and lead the children to Him.

今天是暑期聖經日營的第二天，有孩童約10點15分已前來上課，感謝主；兒童詩歌後，然後蛇的簡介，吸引孩童並有積極回答問題，隨後講了蛇引誘人犯罪的故事，帶出人不聽從神的話、被神懲罰、趕離伊甸園、但神也施與拯救（給人動物毛皮作衣）；隨即齊齊動手做了明天的零食（香蕉冰條），孩子們吃了昨天幫忙製作的果凍，並製作了一本小冊子來重述亞當和夏娃的故事。
下午Wendy和KK帶領兩個隊伍去探訪。Agnes、May、Wilson 與KK往5yr 10區的4家餐廳，短宣隊與餐廳老闆們及員工交談，又與一位年青老闆禱告。Kan 和袁牧師與 Wendy 拜訪教會附近一棟大樓裡的四個家庭，離開時，遇上另一家庭閒聊，還有，我們與幾個家庭一起禱告才離開。
明天我們的暑期聖經日營將會以驢子代表耶穌的謙卑順服以至於死在十架上，願上帝引導我們傳達的訊息，使孩童歸向祂。
Today is the second day of the VBS. Praise the Lord, some children arrived at about 10:15. After singing some children's hymn, we discussed fun facts about the snake, and the children actively answered questions. Then we discussed how the snake tempt Adam and Eve to sin. The story discussed when people disobeyed God were punished by God, and were driven out of the Garden of Eden, but God also saved them (making animal fur clothes for them); then the children happily made tomorrow’s snacks (banana popsicles). The children ate the jello they helped to make yesterday and enjoyed making a booklet to retell the story of Adam and Eve.
In the afternoon, Wendy and KK led two teams to visit. Agnes, May, Wilson and KK went to 4 restaurants in 5yr District 10. The short-term mission team talked with the restaurant owners and employees, and prayed with a young owner. Kan, Rev. Yuan and Wendy visited and prayed with four families in a building near the church. When they left, they bumped into another family and chatted with them briefly.
Tomorrow our VBS will use donkey to represent Jesus’ humble obedience leading to death on the cross. May God guide the message we convey and bring children to Him.

今日孩童們參加暑期聖經日營遲了30分鐘至45分鐘不等，使開始的時間延遲了，感謝主，兒童仍然被認識驢子的介紹及巴蘭與驢子遇上天使的聖經故事吸引，加上關於驢子的忠心和對服事主人的認真，有很深入的了解；還有隨著與他們一起學唱的「謙卑」聖經兒歌，叫他們有點認識關於謙卑的耶穌騎驢駒子入耶路撒冷有一點點的認識，好預備於復活節時，有更進深明白十字架上的耶穌。在享用他們昨日親手自製的香蕉冰條前，孩子們與短宣隊一起歡欣快樂玩「蒙著眼貼驢子尾巴」的遊戲，開心不已；最使我們得着鼓舞的是每日的小食前，孩童都願意禱告後才享用。明天是暑期聖經日營的最後一天，將會以鴿子為主題，願上帝引導我們傳達的訊息，使孩童歸向祂。
下午Wendy和KK帶領隊伍到市中心探訪商舖、商戶，又探望一對相依為命的少年姊弟，他倆的父親早喪及母親在美國打工；之後，我們往鄰近的中國餐館探訪及吃晚飯。晚上，宣教事KK 會與袁牧師及Wilson 舉行男人交談，神帶領兩位鄰舎來聚會，除了彼此有坦誠的對話與交心的分享，他們還主動提出交換電話，好叫我們以後保持聯繫，大家暢談至零晨1點，最後袁牧師以禱告結束，願何先生及小輝在神的感動下，更深認識自己的光景及願意走進上帝的國度去。
The children were 30 to 45 minutes late to attend the summer Bible day camp this morning, which delayed the start time. Praise the Lord, the children were still attracted by the introduction to the donkey and the biblical story of Balaam and the donkey meeting the angel. They also started to have a deep understanding of the donkey’s loyalty and seriousness in serving his master. They also learned and sang a hymn about “Humility”, which gave them a little bit of knowledge about the humble Jesus riding into Jerusalem on a donkey’s colt. We hope that will prepare their hearts to learn more about the story during Easter. Before enjoying the banana popsicles they made yesterday, the children happily played the game of "pin the donkey tails" with the short-term mission team. What encouraged us the most was that before the daily snacks, the children are willing to say grace before enjoying it. Tomorrow is the last day of the VBS. The dove is used to represent reconciliation with God. May God guide the message we convey and bring children to Him.
In the afternoon, Wendy and KK led the team to visit shops and merchants in the city center, and also visited a pair of teenage sister and brother who depended on each other. Their father passed away when they were at a young age and their mother works in the United States. After that, we visited a nearby Chinese restaurant and had dinner. In the evening, Missionary KK held a men's chat along with Rev. Yuen and Wilson. God led two neighbors to come to the gathering. In addition to having candid conversations and heart-to-heart sharing with each other, they also offered to exchange phone numbers so that we could keep in touch in the future. We talked until 1 a.m. Finally, Pastor Yuan ended with a prayer. May God keep inspiring Mr. Ho and Xiaohui in Him so that they will have deeper understanding of their situations and be led to the kingdom of God.

今日是暑期聖經日營的最後一天，雖然孩童們依然遲了30分鐘至45分鐘才到達，但我們仍然懷着感恩的心，祈求神帶領，讓參與的孩童被感動接受耶穌；大家從歌唱開始，講羅亞方舟的聖經故事裏，我們讓孩童認識鴿子的特性，帶出和平鴿子與聖靈像鴿子，向他們介紹神的一份禮物，感謝神，有兩位七歲小朋友舉手，願意接受耶穌成為他們的朋友；我們歡喜快樂食信主的蛋糕後，向兩位小朋友禱告、祝福及以西班牙語福音小册子跟進。
午飯後，宣教士Wendy和KK帶領隊伍到另一個區域探訪餐館。
Today is the last day of the VBS. Although the children still arrived 30 to 45 minutes late, we were still grateful and prayed for God’s guidance so that the participating children will be moved to accept Jesus. We started with singing hymns and watched a video about the story of Noah’s ark. We discussed fun facts about the doves and watched another story about Jesus being baptized and brought out the dove as a sign of peace and the Holy Spirit. We ended with a message about salvation as a gift from God. Praise the Lord, two seven-year-old children raised their hands and were willing to accept Jesus as their friend. We celebrated their 2nd birth happily with their “birthday cake”. We prayed with the two children and reconfirmed their faith using Spanish gospel booklets.
After lunch, missionaries Wendy and KK led the team to visit restaurants and neighbours in the nearby area.

今天中午，我們又去了上週的同一家製衣廠，和員工、老闆娘一起唱了一些中文流行歌曲和聖詩。 下午，我們在教會有一些康樂時間，大部分來的是祖母/母親和他們的孫子/孩子。 大人和小孩們高興地串珠、製作手鍊和鑰匙圈。 我們與當地的祖母/母親交談並與孩子們一起玩耍。 求上帝打開他們的心來明天的敬拜。 然後我們在一對中國夫婦開的日本餐廳吃了晚飯，所有員工都是中國人。 我們能夠與那裡的老闆和員工進行交談 。

Today at noon we went to the same garment factory as last week and sang some Chinese pop songs and hymns with the workers and the owner. In the afternoon we had some recreational time at church, participants were the usual grandmothers/mothers and their grandchildren/children. The adults and children happily did beading and made bracelets and keychains. We talked to the local grandmothers/mothers and played with the children. May God open their hearts for tomorrow’s worship service. We then had dinner at a Japanese restaurant owned by a Chinese couple and all employees were Chinese. We were able to talk to the owners as well as the workers there and had some good discussions.
Please pray for tomorrow’s worship service. Rev Yuen will be responsible for preaching, and other team members will be responsible for leading singspiration, praying, and children's activities. May God’s name be glorified.
The STM team will be crossing the border right after worship in the afternoon and our flight will be leaving San Diego at 10p.m. Please pray for smooth process going back to the US and Canada.

讚美主，今天是在蒂華納的最後一天。 早上我們與弟兄姊妹、鄰居們度過了一段美好的團契時光。當孩子們玩耍的時候，我們用不同的語言（粵語、台山話、普通話和英語）與他們和媽媽們、祖母們聊天，度過了一段愉快的時光。同時，宣教士KK不辭辛勞，為我們20多人準備了豐盛的午餐；午餐後，每個人都寫下了自己感恩的事。 敬拜隨即以唱詩和禱告展開，袁牧師以帖撒羅尼迦前書 5 章 16-18 節的「時時感恩」作為信息；孩子們在另一個房間裡，了解了10個麻風病人的故事，上了一堂關於「感謝你所擁有的」的實物課，並為他們所愛的人製作了一張感謝卡。 隨後，短宣隊越過墨西哥/美國邊境返回聖地牙哥。

Pastor Yuen used "always be grateful" in 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 as his message; the children were in another room, learned the story about 10 lepers and did an object lesson about "thankful for what you have" and did a thank you card for their loved ones.
After that the STM team crossed the Mexican/US border back to San Diego.
