This hoisting plan consists of a drawing that shows the flybars & trusses used, the light plot / sound plot, the possible extra truss/constructions you will bring in.
It also includes a calculation of the loads that will apply.
This hoisting plan will be evaluated and shall only be allowed in case it points out the safe use of hoisting equipment.

9. SAFETY
- All materials and set should conform to applicable laws (ARAB, AREI, Vlarem II).
- All material (set, wood, curtains) should be made fireproof.
- Every use of smoke, fire, pyro-effects, lasers, confetti, CO²-cannons etc., should be requested in advance. The responsible stage manager of Vooruit has the right to deny the use of these effects if he/she considers them not to be safe.
- Applicable Sound Levels: 100dB(A)/Leq60 (average 60 minutes). We provide a monitor on stage with the equivalent level of 102dB(A)/Leq15. Organiser of the event is responsible for maintaining these levels and instructing his/her artists and employees. Fines will be directed to organisor of the event, NOT to Vooruit.
- All rigged instruments have to be secured with safety cables. We can provide these cables for 4€/pc. Return of cables is return of cash.
- It is not allowed to use straps (nylon hoist material) to hang rig-constructions, unless everything is secured with steels. (officially inspected).
- Rigging points only allowed with vertical loads. No angles allowed.
- Rigging of constructions is only allowed under supervision of a professional rigger.
- The rig design drawings must be sent to us fyi, at least 1 week prior to the event. Unsafe (or unsafe looking) rigs will not be allowed.
- • !! It is not allowed to have moving rigged constructions above the audience. This is only possible with material designed for this purpose and under supervision of a qualified rigger. (contact us in advance)
- The use of ropes and nylon to hang decoration or other materials is not allowed, esp above the audience.
- All rigs must be out of reach of the public. Lighting and sound must be flown high/far enough.
- • !! It is not allowed to hang large curtains apart from vertical, even when made fireproof, because these might cause panic and block evacuation routes in case they fall.
- Trusses can be placed on the balcony, using rubber blocks to prevent damage to the balcony railing. In this case, the balconies are not accessible for the audience. The rubber blocks stay in Vooruit and have to be returned to the responsible of the hall.
- Cabling on stage and in the hall must be taped down or covered with cablecrossers or rubber mats, this to prevent the tripping of crew/audience.
- All emergency exits and passage-ways must be kept clear when building sound, light or other objects in the hall.
- The use of ‘cam-locks’ is not allowed.
- For concerts we can provide risers or stage-elements for drums, percussion, horns, dj’s and such. These are not part of the standard basic equipment in the hall and should be spoken for or rented in advance. These risers or stage-elements are not to be used as dance platforms in the hall.
