Tuesday-Holy Week. Matthew 21:23-26:5; Mark 11:27-14:2;
Luke 20:1-22:2; John 12:37-50.
Jesus is in the temple teaching to anyone who will listen. This is the last time He will publicly teach in the temple as a free man. Read His last words to His disciples that day in Matthew 26:1-5. Jesus directly confronts the Pharisees & they do not like it! When He leaves the temple, the “chief priests and scribes were looking for a treacherous way to arrest and kill Him. Mark 14:1. Jesus knows what lies ahead for Him. Sunday is coming! Pastor Mike

Holy Week. Maundy Thursday.
Matthew 26:17-75; Mark 14:12-72;
Luke 22:7-71; John 13:1-18:27.
Lots of Bible pages devoted to this day. Maundy is an old English word for washing. The day began with Peter & John securing the upper room. It is there that Jesus washes the feet of His disciples. He tells them He has come to make them clean. There is the announcement that Jesus will be betrayed. The disciples wonder if it is one of them. As they eat the Passover supper, Jesus identifies Judas as the one who will betray Him for the 30 pieces of silver. It is during this last supper that Jesus sets apart the Passover bread & cup. He resets their meaning. The bread is His body. The cup, His blood. This meal will no longer remind them of God’s deliverance, but it will remind them/us of our own guilt & sin against God. Later on Thursday will be a prayer on the Mount of Olives, the arrest of Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane.
Think about it & read all of the gospels. Be blessed!!! Pastor Mike
Holy Week. What was Jesus doing on Wednesday? Matthew 26:6-13;
Mark 14:3-9; John 12:1-8. Jesus goes to Bethany to be with His close friends, Mary, Martha & Lazarus. Read closely & you will see that Mary is the only one, including the disciples, she was the only one to figure out the crucifixion & the coming resurrection. Read about how she broke the expensive vase & washed Jesus’ feet with the perfumed oil. Think about how angry Judas was when he saw her break the vase. He was angry because the vase could have been sold for lots of money. Jesus scolded Judas for his anger at Mary. Jesus told him to leave her alone. It was a beautiful thing she did. It was later in the evening when Judas betrayed Jesus for the 30 pieces of silver. Read about it. Pastor Mike
