Budget Advisory (BAC) | Make suggestions and recommendations to the supt regarding the operating budget and development; actions that can be taken to increase stakeholder involvement, and feedback on the budget development process | Provides the Superintendent with recommendations regarding:

Business Advisory Council | Primary CTE coordination team that serves to connect the Greece Central School District with businesses and stakeholders throughout Monroe County. This team is responsible for receiving stakeholder feedback and then utilizing it to make changes to CTE Programs and curriculum. The Business Advisory Council will also oversee the NYSED approved Business Specialist Pathway. | Participation in four meetings per year on various career and technical pathways | 4 times per year |
Code of Conduct | The purpose of the Code of Conduct Committee is to review and update the document as necessary while taking into consideration the effectiveness of code provisions and the fairness and consistency of its administration so that the board of education may adopt any revision to the code of conduct | Share feedback on parent perspectives for consideration, making adjustments and future training opportunities related to the Code of Conduct | 4 times per year |
Community School and Family Engagement Advisory Committee | To collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure that the intended impact of the Community Schools strategy is met. Continually monitor the implementation of the Comprehensive Family Engagement Plan aligned with CRS-F in each building across the district. | Active participation, share voice and ideas regarding ways our Community Schools and Family Engagement teams can help support students, families, and the community. | 4 times per year on Fridays from 8 - 10 am |
Culinary Pathway Advisory Board | An Advisory board dedicated to designing and implementing a new NYSED Approved Culinary Pathway. This board will make curriculum decisions that are informed by industry, teachers and Department of Labor statistics. | Participation in four meetings per year giving feedback and recommendations | 4 times per year |
Culture Climate Committee | The purpose of the district Climate and Culture Committee is to build a cohesive vision of Social Emotional Learning as a lever for equity at the tier 1 level districtwide. The Elementary group will be updating the Elementary report card based on the NYS SEL standards and Leader in Me. The Secondary group will be creating criteria for curriculum development. | Share feedback and parent perspectives for consideration. | 4 times per year |
District Curriculum Council (DCC) | The DCC monitors the development and implementation of PK-12 subject areas’ standards across grades and subjects. It is a representative body with specific responsibility to recommend, review, and guide decisions about curriculum, instruction, and assessment development within the guidelines of Board of Education policy. | Listen to presentations, ask questions, and give feedback to support alignment across the district. | 3 times per year |
District Digital Innovation Team (DDIT) | The DDIT is comprised of teachers from every school. It's charge is to enhance implementation of instructional technology across the district to help our students achieve the goals of our Strategic Framework through the lens of the Culturally Responsive Sustaining Framework and the ISTE standards, design and promote differentiated professional learning opportunities for our staff to support them in meeting these goals, and to enhance two way communication regarding regarding instructional technology decision making for the district | Share feedback and parent perspectives for consideration. | 4 Full Days per year |
District Guardians of Equity | In consultation with the Assistant Superintendent of Student Achievement and Education Services, the GOE is a committee that works to identify and address a concrete list of priorities that relate to the equity goals of the district. When we say “equity” in this district, we mean that we remove barriers to ensure that ALL students have access and opportunities they need to reach their full potential. Guardians of equity help to defend that work, produce evidence of success, and persuade others to treat equity as a core value. | Share feedback and parent perspectives for consideration. | 4 times per year |
District School Counseling Advisory Council | The Counseling Advisory Council reviews the overall district comprehensive developmental school counseling program plan and advises on the implementation of the school counseling/guidance program. An annual report from the advisory council is submitted annually to the Board of Education. | Share feedback and parent perspectives for consideration. | Twice Per year |
District Shared Decision Making/Improvement Team | The purpose of a district shared decision making team is to improve educational performance of all students in each school, regardless of socioeconomic status, race, sex, language, or disability. The committee will review and update a district plan for participation of teachers and parents with administrators and school board members in school based planning and shared decision making. Early Childhood Education / Teacher Cadet Pathway Advisory Board | An Advisory board dedicated to maintaining and improving the current NYSED Approved Education Pathway. Electric Bus Study Committee | Educating ourselves on the NYS Zero Emissions Mandate. Committee members are Lou, Kurt, Mary Hadley (Community), Romeo, Dave, Frank C. and Bill B. | Share feedback and parent perspectives for consideration. | 4 times per year |
Engineering Pathway Advisory Board | An Advisory board dedicated to designing and implementing a new NYSED Approved Engineering Pathway. This board will make curriculum decisions that are informed by industry, teachers and Department of Labor statistics. | Participation in four meetings per year giving feedback and recommendations | 4 times per year |
Greece Professional Learning Policy Board | This committee will meet on a monthly basis to review the implementation on the new professional learning process outlined in the new GTA contract. The members will review the newly implemented systems and make recommendations based on feedback from staff. | 1.Advocate for professional learning programming. Assist in the creation of the district Professional Learning Plan. 2.Attendance at four committee meetings per school year. 3.Dissemination via email or social media of professional learning and registration information. 4.Sharing of internal and external professional learning opportunities. 5.Assist at the building level with Frontline. 6.Utilize opportunities such as faculty meetings or school news e-bulletins to announce upcoming programs, registration due dates etc. 7.Promote the academic resources at the PLC. 8.Utilize Google sites to obtain meeting minutes, agendas as well as policy and budget votes. | Monthly |
Multilingual Parent Advisory Council | This council will gather feedback from various stakeholders, provide analysis of district practices, and research effective tools for ensuring language access and providing opportunities for two-way communication with multilingual parents | Share feedback and parent perspectives for consideration. | Bi-monthly meetings |
Parent Advisory Leadership Council | To promote stakeholder voice within GCSD. The Greece Central School District will engage and empower families to become proactive in their children's education so that every Greece Central School District student can reach their full potential. This advisory committee will allow participants to provide input, guidance, and feedback to GCSD on a regular basis. The PAC will advance equity by engaging diverse community members and developing their agency in the district and community. | Share feedback and parent perspectives for consideration. | Quarterly |
Wellness Committee | The Greece School District is committed to providing a school environment that promotes and protects children's health, well-being, and the ability to learn by fostering healthy eating and physical activity. The District has established a wellness committee to develop the District's proposed local wellness policy, making such policy recommendations for review and adoption by the Board of Education. | Share feedback and parent perspectives for consideration. | 4 times per year |
