Big reactions episode! The anomaly has been live for a week; Garrett and Kyle have questions. Tassadar’s popularity is up 300% but his win-rate doesn’t match the hype. What can be done for the new High Templar to bring him in line. We also help the Blizz team clarify a recent statement on losing on purpose. But the real meat of the show lies ahead, the recent anomaly has left some of our maps in an odd state. Drama of the Week: Losing on Purpose
A GM responds to a ticket saying losing on purpose isn't against the code of conduct, which isn’t true but starts a fire on Reddit
KaeoMilker: Hi, Heroes! To add to the response from /u/Kalviery - intentionally losing is something the game team and our support teams take seriously and we regularly issue penalties for these types of behaviors. Please continue to use the in-game reporting system if you encounter stuff like this so that we can take action. Thanks, and be safe out there!
Kalviery: Thank you for bringing this to our attention u/thang15. We’ll be taking a look at the group that was reported in the original ticket. We’ll also make sure this feedback is passed along through the appropriate channels so that coaching can be provided as the response doesn’t accurately reflect the in-game Code of Conduct regarding such behavior. You can find this topic covered under the Behavior category on our Code of Conduct, specifically:
Behavior that intentionally detracts from others' enjoyment (such as griefing, throwing, feeding, etc.) is unacceptable.
Your ticket also mentioned inappropriate in-game chat which is covered under the Communication category.
You can report Code of Conduct violations without ever needing to leave the game client. The behavior can already be disruptive to your gameplay, we don’t want the reporting to disrupt your play further. You can file a report by right-clicking on the player name, selecting the most appropriate option for the behavior you want to report and submitting. This goes to the Game Master team to review and also keeps track of behavioral trends for the accounts that are reported.

Since it's been nearly a year since the last edition of META Madness took place, some of you might ask what exactly is so special about the tournament. The idea of META Madness is to break through the current meta and force top players to think out of the box and play unorthodox Heroes and team compositions. In order to achieve that, past editions of META Madness stipulated that Heroes banned during the draft were banned for the entire Best-of-5 series, not only for the upcoming map! In this edition we'll enforce even stricter rules to adapt to the growing pool of heroes and to spice things up even more: every Hero that is played during a match can not be picked again within the same series!
Community Hero-Bans:
as during the last edition of META Madness, the community has the chance to ban their "most hated" Heroes for the entire duration of the tournament again! Starting today people within the Heroes community can vote on which heroes they want to be banned completely during META Madness. As last time, the total number of Heroes that will be banned based on this list will be tied to subscriber goals during my daily Twitch stream. For each 100 subscribers (new, gifted or re-subs) from today until the start of the tournament one additional hero will be globally banned for the event, up to a maximum of 10 (which would result in a total of 56 banned Heroes on a potential final map in a Best-of-5 series!).
Needless to say that it's going to be once again an absolute blast and tons of fun!
