Sending home 2 test kits to everyone in the school tomorrow.

  • 1 is specifically to save for returning to school after the break.
  • Even to kids who recently had COVID

Air Filters need to be cleaned- what’s the guidance? Is someone supposed to be vacuuming them?

Masks continue, classes are still distanced.

Field Day:

Each grade had a day, and field day events were held in the school yard and also afternoon playtime and lunch in the park

Looking at the week before science week. Each grade would have a day, and there would be one day that is a rain date, any class that gets rain date.

  • Could lower grades go closer?
  • Possible to go to Vanderbilt playground, would need to check on permits for picnic
  • Permit vs. no permit in terms of reserving a spot

In School Assemblies

  • Lunar New Year, whole school in the school yard
  • Working with Sarah Sheers re: Holi Festival and Nowruz

PTA Updates:

  • Canceled this week, but will be back during the break so people can test before coming back, and thinking about every two weeks to start
  • Drumming assembly and author visits
  • Readathon in full swing

  • Tomorrow the PTA will be voting on a second recess coach

  • Last week was a lot of different equity team meetings between district wide, students, and parents.
  • Today was the first meeting of the rainbow alliance for 4th and 5th grade students.
