Minutes
- Middle School Announcement letters went home today.
- Several students going to various D25 Middle Schools across the region (Bell, East West, QSI, 219, and others)
- Students are advocating for themselves and inquiring about schools they apple to/ were accepted to
- Senior Activities
- Dave and Busters trip keeps cost down and is very organized and well done
- New this year: Themed Senior Breakfast hosted by PTA to replace Senior Prom
- Awards & Moving up ceremony on separate dates
- Picnic- Held in park across the street (weather permitting)
- PTA: holding fundraiser in future to go towards 5th grade activities
- 2nd Grade Swimming program is under way
- Grade 1& 2 trip to see Syncopated Ladies
- 4th grade recorder program is running well
- Marquis studio program has concluded
- Awarded TELL grant for next year (Theater for early learners)
- Possible CASA residency with Louis Lattamer House for next year
- ELA and Math afterschool programs are still ongoing as a bootcamp to get ready for State Testing
PTA
- Request all staff have a class dojo so they don’t miss important flyers.
- Have a PTA bulletin board in the main office to post pertinent flyers.
- Possible messenger blasts to remind community of current events.
- Title 1 parent engagement to be held on 5/11 (gameshow experience)
- 5/15 PTA elections- encourage staff to vote
- Stickers with Inspirational messages for grades 4&5 to encourage them with testing.
