Making choices with the enrichment system

Overview

Thank you for taking time to read this booklet. I will try to keep things short and sweet. The school enrichment system has been designed to be web-based. This allows it to be used anywhere, as long as you have internet access.

Most of the website is optimised for use on a smartphone as this is often the preferred way of working. However, some of the more complex operations require the use of a desktop or laptop computer, such as a Chromebook. Alternatively, it is possible to use a tablet, such as an iPad.

The enrichment system is the result of many hours of development but it still remains a work in progress. Extra features will be added as the need arises and there is always the chance that a bug will be found and squashed as required. Any feedback from users is always welcomed. If you have any comments, suggestions, frustrations etc, please address them to enrichment@lts-interactive.co.uk

Logging in

We use Google to authenticate logging in, so you need to type your child’s school email address. Currently, we are in a slight state of flux in that those pupils who are in the senior school have a different format of the email address to those pupils who are in the junior school. Eventually, the format used by the junior school pupils will become the standard as it is the same format as their usernames when logging into the school computers.

Log in for Junior school pupils

All of our junior school pupils have a username which takes the format of the year in which they would have joined the school (if they joined in J1) along with their surname and the initial letter of their forename.

For example,

If a child was currently in J5 and their name was Annette Kirtain, then their username would be:

13KirtainA@lts-interactive.co.uk

Log in for Senior school pupils

At the moment, our senior school pupils have a username which takes the form of their forename, a full stop and their surname.

For example,

If Annette Kirtain is in the senior school, then her username would be:

Annette.Kirtain@lts-interactive.co.uk

Passwords

Most of our pupils will have changed their passwords, but it is possible that they may have recently joined the school and have not yet logged in. If your child has never used their @lts-interactive.co.uk account or they have forgotten their password, please contact me at enrichment@lts-interactive.co.uk with your child’s name and form.

Selecting enrichment activities

Your computer or smartphone should display something similar to:

You can select an activity by clicking on the drop down arrow:

If you want to know more about each activity, please scroll down to reveal the timetable. A brief description of each activity will appear when you click on the name of the activity.

Submitting your choices

When you have made your selection of activities for each day, please press the submit button.

If you need to make any changes, please click “Change”, make adjustments and click submit again.

When you are happy with your selection, please press the “Log out” button.

If you have more than one child, please make sure that you have logged out before logging in again with a different child’s account.

That’s everything for now, but if you wish, you can always remove the cookie from your browser. It is called PHPSESSION and it is only used to select the correct account.

Thank you for reading this guide. I hope it has proved useful, but if you have any queries, please send me an email and I will try my very best to solve any problems.
