Online Annual Update of Information
(Registration) Guide for Existing Families
This guide is for families who already have students enrolled in the Oskaloosa Community School District.

Information and Documentation Needed Before Beginning Online
Before you begin the Annual Update of Information, please review all required information listed below that you will be asked as you complete the verification.
We collect almost everything the district needs through this process. Throughout the application, you will be able to upload required documents. You should scan these documents or take a picture of them with a smartphone or tablet. You will need these documents on the computer/device you are using or on a storage drive you can access from that device.

Tips for Online Registration
Online registration will work best with these browsers: Firefox or Google Chrome. Make sure they are up to date. Older versions may not be compatible. Do not use Internet Explorer. If you need to use a phone or tablet you MUST use the Puffin Browser or it will not work. This is a free app you can download to your device. https://www.puffinbrowser.com/mobile/
Allow pop-up windows in your browser.
Please note, once you begin the registration process, utilizing the forward or back buttons on your browser can cause complications and should be avoided. Only use the previous and next buttons in the registration window.
The registration process is divided into sections that are made up of multiple subsections. Only one subsection at a time can be open to view and edit. You must review or complete every subsection on a tab before clicking on Save/ Continue to get to the next tab.
Completing Registration Online
1. Log in to your parent portal and click the online registration link that appears in the parent portal near the bottom
of the menu on the left side of the screen. (Note: student accounts cannot do this, only the parent.)
If you do not have an Infinite Campus account, please go to the Parent Portal page under Parents at www.oskaloosa.k12.ia.us and request an account.
2. Select the correct registration year for your student(s) and click Begin Registration.
NOTE: If you have a child living in another household, it will show “Included in New App” as No which
means you cannot register that student and the other household must register them. Only the household
listed as primary can register the student online.
3. Enter your first and last name in the box and click the Submit button.
4. Read through and update all screens and click next to go to the next one. Click Save & Continue to move
to the next section. If something was not filled in that is required or information not verified on a screen,
It will not let you save and continue and will show you what needs verified.
5. Make sure to fill out a transportation form in the Transportation Section if your students ride the bus.
Only one form is needed per household, so you can just click on the form link once to complete it.
6. Submit the form when completed. You should receive an email stating it has been received.

How do I add a new student to your household:
Example: Add a student new to your household, foster/adopted child
In the Student section, click Add New Student button.
How do I finish a saved application that was not completed:
Go into online registration through the portal.
What if I don’t have a computer at home?
All 6th-12th grade students have Chromebooks. Your student can login to their chromebook and then you can
login to your parent portal to complete registration. Student portal accounts may not be used to complete
registration. Wifi is needed for registration.
