- Registration Goal: 100 (or sell out) (19% increase)
- Measure impact (short-term & long-term): Exit and follow up surveys
- Leverage effort to simplify offering locally
- Collaborate with NHTM on marketing
- Invite vendors & sponsors to support event
- Host a successful Student Math Fair
- Registration Goal: 50 students
- Continue sponsorship for free student registration
- Explore locations, etc to attract more students; geographical, age band parity
- Hold Annual Business Meeting and Election in Spring 2026
- Invigorate & Elevate VCTM:
VCTM Board (internal)
- Attract, recruit, and retain board members, including pre-service teachers.
- Revise: ‘humble checklist’ roles & responsibilities docs
- Rewrite zones
- Develop a sustainable VCTM (digital) archive of information
- Amend bylaws 2025 Draft VCTM Bylaws (warning in advance of annual meeting)
VCTM Membership (field)
- Collaboration with VT AOE on evidence-based practices, needs, (more formal recommendations)
- More offerings for, focus on, pre-service/undergrads and math leaders
- Promote Equity & Inclusion in Mathematics
- Draft and adopt VCTM Equity Statement
- Develop equity lens & protocol to screen & audit VCTM practices
- Plan accessible professional learning opportunities (e.g. bookchat)
- Enhance & Further Promote Opportunities for Teacher Recognition & Leadership
- Send out award nominations early & nominate by zone
- Continue partnerships with supportive organizations (e.g. TODOS)
- Present awards within the district/school building of awardees
- Apply to Grants & Solicit Sponsorships
- NCTM/NCSM MET Grant
- ATMNE Grants
- Document & promote accomplishments with previously awarded grants!
- Maintain connection with NCTM/NCSM throughout the year through events and communication
- Focus on leadership training and support for board members
- Volunteer someone for NCTM board of director elections/nominations
