| Beckenham Te Kura O Pūroto Year 7 & 8 Kete Awards Scheme |
This year, we are introducing an exciting new awards programme based around our kete. Our aim is to promote our school values and to recognise the ways in which you demonstrate these values in and out of school. This will be a scheme that you independently manage and drive; the more time and effort you put in, the more successful you will be. Below is a list of ideas for the kinds of things that can be used to demonstrate each value. This list is not exhaustive, so think creatively to come up with your own ideas. Each action is worth 10 points (unless specified otherwise). As a rule, each criteria should involve at least 60 minutes of your time to complete. You may complete an action more than once.
Once you have completed an action, you must record what you have done on your kete blog to provide evidence of completion. Evidence can include a written explanation or reflection, photos, video, audio clip or a link to a google slide or doc. When your blog post is complete, fill in the google form to notify your teacher. You may also share your blog with your whanau.
Once you have earnt 60 points, you will receive your badge for that kete. Our aim is to make living our values something we do automatically, making us positive members of our community and increasing our well being through the intrinsic joy of proactive action.
This is a living document which is found on-line and will be added to / modified over time.
