The work methodology implies ticking your problems and crossing out the reasons after their elimination.

Problem

Reasons

No content displayed / created in repositories

  • Polywall Worker is not installed or not switched on
  • Port (8081 by default)  is blocked by antivirus
  • Port (8081 by default)  is occupied by a third-party program
  • Polywall Worker is installed with  “Encryption” mode while other components doesn’t

--- Additionally, if Encryption is used ---

  • Polywall Worker was installed without “Encryption”
  • Polywall Server IP address with port is not added to the antivirus exception list

Hardware ID is not displayed in Configuration Wizard

  • Port 8080 is blocked by antivirus
  • Port 8080 is occupied by a third-party program
  • Polywall is configured in https mode

No reverse image in Live section in Polywall Designer

  • Polywall Visualizer is not installed
  • Polywall Visualizer is not configured correctly: Room ID, Display ID, Server address
  • Visualizer Port (8086 by default)  is blocked by antivirus
  • Visualizer Port (8086 by default) is occupied by a third-party program
  • Polywall Server is not configured correctly: Display ID
  • Screencapture port in Polywall Server and Polywall Visualizer is not identical.
  • Screencapture process blocked by antivirus

Green line when video is playing

  • Datapath DMA Direct is turned off
  • Datapath VLC plugin is not installed

Dynamic content is freezing

  • Weak CPU\GPU of the VSN
  • Bad internet connection
  • Hardware decoding is disabled
  • Datapath DMA Direct is turned off (Applicable to Datapath GPU)
  • Source is working on OpenGL\ WebGL. For example - “cybermap.kaspersky.com” (Applicable to Datapath GPU)
  • Depends on which hardware is used screencapture may affect on dynamic files.

Meta file error

  • Polywall Worker is not installed or not switched on

  • Polywall Worker is installed with  “Encryption” mode while other components doesn’t

Polywall Designer web page can not be open or opens incorrectly

  • Polywall Server was installed on localhost
  • Polywall Server is disconnected from the network
  • Polywall Server is installed on the external network interface
  • Port 8080 is blocked by antivirus
  • Port 8080 is occupied by a third-party program

IP streaming playing with delays

  • Datapath SQX\Matrox IPX is not turned on in Polywall Visualizer
  • Network connection is unstable

Hardware inputs are not displayed

  • Using capture cards other than Datapath, Matrox, Magewell or Blackmagic
  • Polywall Worker is not installed and configured
  • Port 8081 is blocked by antivirus
  • Port 8081 is occupied by a third-party program
  • VSN uses a several network interfaces
  • Polywall Worker is installed with  “Encryption” mode while other components doesn’t

--- Additionally, if Encryption is used ---

  • Polywall Worker was installed without “Encryption”
  • Polywall Server IP address with port is not added to the antivirus exception list

Scenario can not be run

  • Scenario is saved in the incorrect folder
  • The user has no rights to run the scenario

Delay in opening of all sources on VSN without internet

  • It is related with the signing of Polywall Visualizer executable file and verification of this signature in the work during the establishment of a connection between processes.
