Harmony UU Clean-Up After Service Checklist
- Throw away or seal all food. Food that can be saved for the next service should be placed in the sealed plastic tub on top of the refrigerator, or in the refrigerator. Please label refrigerated foods (Harmony labels can be found in the drawer just to the left of the fridge).
- Put away any extra cups, plates, napkins, plastic utensils, and tablecloth in the cabinets below the coffee counter.
- Wash, dry and put away all dishes and silverware in the kitchen. Do not leave any items in the sink or drying rack.
- Put away coffeemaker, creamers, sugars, hot chocolate, and teas in the sealed plastic tub on top of the refrigerator. Liquid creamer should be labeled and returned to the fridge in the kitchen.
- Take a photo of the visitor sign-in sheet and send to Membership@harmonyuu.org.
- Put the sign-in sheet/clipboard, visitor name tags, and pen cup (brochures can be left out) in the cabinets (left-hand side) under the coffee counter.
- Unplug and clean the coffee maker (if needed).
- Empty the water from the joys and sorrows bowl.
- If needed, vacuum stage and 2 area rugs. Vacuum is located in the hall closet.
- Sweep any parts of the sanctuary that you think need it. (We only have to clean up major crumbs/messes.)
- Make sure all chairs are stacked in the back corner to the left of the stage. Block off stage and chairs using stanchions.
- Empty trash cans in the sanctuary and kitchen. New trash bags can be found in the kitchen, bottom corner drawer to the left of the sink (labeled “Lakeview”). You do not need to empty the trash cans in the bathrooms. Trash should be taken to the enclosed area in the parking lot and placed in the dumpster.
- ONLY IF FULL - Carry the recycling bin to the enclosed area in the parking lot and empty it into the green Rumple recycling cart. Return the recycling bin to the sanctuary.
- Check in with the Building Manager to let them know you are all done.
