SotM Steam Workshop Policies

Sentinels of the Multiverse
Steam Workshop Policies

All Sentinels of the Multiverse Steam Workshop (“Workshop”) items (“Items”) are subject to the Steam Workshop Legal Agreement. By submitting an Item, you agree to those terms and conditions.

Notably, the legal agreement says that you must have rights or permissions to use content created by others. That includes but is not limited to text, images and music. If your Item contains work created by others without their permission, it is violating copyright and is subject to being taken down. You could be at risk of losing your Steam account. We highly recommend you create your own original content or properly license content from others.

In addition, Items on our Workshop must abide by the following rules. Any Item breaking the rules below will be removed from the Workshop.

  1. Your Item may not include the Sentinel Comics logo, Sentinels of the Multiverse logo, Greater Than Games logo, Handelabra Games logo, or anything else implying that it is official content.
  2. Your Item may not implement official content, such as:
  1. Existing Sentinels cards or decks from the core game or expansions
  2. Established characters or other canonical elements from Sentinel Comics lore
  3. Sentinels of Earth-Prime cards or decks
  4. Sentinels of the Multiverse: Definitive Edition cards or decks
  1. Your Item may not include copyrighted material from the game (for example, using an image from a Sentinels card directly on your card).

With all that out of the way, here are some things you are welcome and encouraged to do:

  1. Make references to Sentinel Comics characters, environments, etc. and depict them in your own original drawings.
  2. Use and adapt the placeholder artwork we provide.
  3. Create your own original characters and ideas and share them with the community!

These policies have been decided by Handelabra Games, Inc. and Greater Than Games, LLC together (known collectively as the “SOTM Team”). The SOTM Team also must share some of the legal fine print, which, like the rules above, may be updated in the future, and we will let the community know if/when that happens.
