And so, we have the Gold Saucer, which is neither unidentified nor flying, objectively speaking.
I understand what the developers are trying to do, here. They’re trying to create the impression that this place is heavily over-commercialized. The problem is, it kinda takes me out of the experience, by raising too many questions. Does the save point exist in the universe of the game or not? If they do, why doesn’t everyone use them? Why wouldn’t Shinra destroy them all, to get rid of AVALANCHE for good?
Yes, I know, I’m overthinking things, but that’s my point; this sort of thing causes the player to think about things that they aren’t intended to think about, stuff that the player is just supposed to suspend their disbelief about.
Welcome to the Gold Saucer.
Not sure I’d be here often enough to justify the lifetime pass.
Gold (Saucer) Points?
Someone needs his chamomile.
Wee!
Also, why Wonder Square? If anything, you’d think he’d go to Battle Square, to vent his frustrations.
You don’t say.
Well, he’s too busy being angry to be sad anymore, so…
I’m gonna go with the fuzzy!
MMMMMMMMM was restored, but T. Hawk wasn’t. Why?
Wee!
There’s an inn you could go to for that.
It doesn’t look very gold to me.
Anyway, onward to Round Square!
…Wait, huh?
I forgot this one had a GP cost. Anyway, to the Wonder Square!
Well, he came flying out of the hole, so he kinda needed to look down to make sure he landed properly.

Honestly, why mess with perfection? Default name it is!
…Hup two three four?
What time of the year is it currently, anyway?
Is this an ad for Speed Square?
“Why did you hand me a jawbreaker?”
Well, both, really.
Cait Sith, it’s rude to just walk into someone’s body without asking.
Anyway, next time, to the Wonder Square festivities!
