Guidelines for advertisers
January 2020
If you are providing text for your advert, we strongly recommend you follow these guidelines:
If you prefer and are able you can provide your own artwork. You must meet our standards for inclusion, otherwise we cannot accept your advert.
A full-page advert is portrait in orientation. The available space for your artwork is 124mm x 184mm.
A half-page advert is landscape in orientation. The available space for your artwork is 124mm x 90mm.
A third-page advert is landscape in orientation. The available space for your artwork is 124mm x 60mm.
If you’re providing your own artwork we can accept it in most formats. We would normally recommend a format such as Adobe Illustrator or PDF, but we can also accept formats such as TIFF, PNG or JPG. If you’re not sure about this, get in touch.
Wherever possible you should use CMYK colour.
We recommend your artwork is at a resolution of at least 300dpi. We regret that we cannot accept artwork which is not at least a minimum of 150dpi. This is to ensure that your advert looks its best.
To make sure your artwork reproduces well we strongly recommend that you:
Whenever you provide artwork, we trust that you have suitable permission to use everything within it, including any images. If you’re not sure, let us know and we’ll be able to offer advice.
If we’re not confident about your rights to use material, we might ask to see some evidence of its licensing status. If we’re still not sure then we’re afraid that we cannot use the material.
If you need help putting your artwork together or making sure it’s in the best format please let us know - we’ll be happy to offer guidance. Just email landmark-editor@whitkirkchurch.org.uk.
