Light Renovation Work – Equipment Shed

Overview
The Michael Fields Agricultural Institute (MFAI) is requesting proposals from qualified contractors to perform light renovations on our equipment shed located in East Troy, Wisconsin. This work is part of our ongoing efforts to maintain functional infrastructure that supports agricultural research and education.
Scope of Work
The selected contractor will be responsible for:
- Roof Repairs
- Identify and repair any damaged sections of the roof
- Ensure roof is watertight and structurally sound
- Replace roofing materials as needed using materials compatible with existing roof
- Shop Space Demolition and Rehab
- Carefully demo a small interior shop space within the shed
- Remove water-damaged plywood and insulation
- Install new insulation (R-13 or better)
- Install new drywall (1/2" or 5/8" sheetrock) and finish to a paint-ready condition
Site Walkthrough
Interested contractors should schedule a site walkthrough prior to submitting their proposal. Please contact Ryan Martin, Executive Director [martin@michaelfields.org] to arrange a time.
Proposal Requirements
Following a site walk, please prepare a proposal to include the following:
- Company name, contact information, and proof of insurance
- Proposed project timeline
- Estimated total cost (labor + materials)
- Any subcontractors to be used
- References from similar projects
Selection Criteria
Proposals will be evaluated based on:
- Cost-effectiveness
- Demonstrated experience with similar projects
- Ability to complete work promptly
- Quality of materials and workmanship
