Hello Mitchell Woods Families,

Our Winter Food Drive was an enormous success. Many boxes of food were donated to the West Willow Village food program. Thank you to the Student Council for all of their hard work and thank you to everyone who contributed. Big shout out to Zack M. for his initiative in collecting 132 items from his neighbours!

SAVE THE DATE: On Wednesday, December 20th at 6:30pm, families are invited to our Winter Concert. See below for more details.

WINTER CONCERT

We are excited to invite you to our Winter Concert, being held in our school gym on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at 6:30 - 7:15pm. Our evening performance will feature:

Ms. Smith and Ms. Abdool’s Grade 1 and 2
Ms. Herne and Ms. Townsend’s Grade 2
Ms. Osborne, Ms. Lawson and Ms. Brown Leigh’s Grade 3 and 4
Mr. Waterman and Ms. Painting’s Grade 4 and 5
Mr. Adair and Mr. Merrick’s Grade 5 and 6
Senior Choir
Primary/Junior Choir
Woodwind Ensemble
Senior Band
*and some special surprise guest appearances!

The gym will open at 6:00 to get seats, however the school will be open earlier so families will have a chance to check out the Book Fair in the library, and buy tickets for the Basket Raffle. Don’t forget to check out our Band and Choir’s Bake Sale!

Kindergarten students will only be performing in our Dress Rehearsal at 11:15. Families are more than welcome to attend during this time!

As a reminder, families are welcome to take photos and videos, but are asked to not post images of other students to social media without permission.

Mitchell Woods PS Snow Agreements
(for Grades 1-8 on the big yard)

We are safe and we are kind to others. We have fun at recess.

We do not throw snow or ice at other people.

We can throw snow at targets (walls, trees, climber) but not people.

We can build snow forts and snow structures.

We do not destroy snow forts or structures and we don’t take snow from other snow forts or structures.

We can slide down the hill on snow (not dirty grass) on our knees or behinds IF there is no one in the way.

We stomp our feet and brush off snow before we come into the school.
