Regulations for Participation in the Pienkow Art Residency Competition June 23 - July 8, 2023

The competition is organized by the Marek Maria Pienkowski Foundation, with its headquarters in Lipinki 15, 22-114 Żmudź, Poland.

Participation in the Pienkow Art Residency (PAR) entails participation in the artistic residency as well as the competition.

The recruitment process will begin on February 1, 2023, and will last until April 30, 2023.

Artists, graduates, and students of art schools under the age of 40, whose works have been showcased in recognized galleries, are eligible to participate in PAR.

The competition pertains to works in the field of visual arts, particularly painting.

The application documents consist of a CV containing the candidate's personal and contact information, as well as a photographic portfolio showcasing their works. The portfolio should include photos of the works, their titles and dates of creation, and a brief description. It is recommended to include a letter of recommendation, although it is not mandatory. Applications should be sent to the email address: pienkowart@gmail.com.

The jury composition will be determined by the organizer. By May 15, 2023, the jury will select ten candidates who will then undergo evaluation and approval by the president of the Foundation by May 20, 2023.

The selected candidates will be informed of their qualification for PAR via email.

The selected candidates must confirm their participation by May 25, 2023.

During the duration of PAR, the organizer will provide accommodation for the residency participants in the residence of Dr. Pienkowski. The residents will stay in double rooms and have access to their workspace.

All works created during PAR will be presented in the gallery. They will be evaluated, and a winner will be chosen.

All program participants will receive a Foundation medal and a certificate of participation in PAR. Each participant agrees to donate a work that they have created during the residency to the collection at the discretion of the President of the Foundation.
