-Softball uniforms should be delivered soon (Mr. Higgins)

-Uniform order from BJ’s did not include YS or S sizes

-Re: Hats, Jessica had been directed not to order hats (typical fall uniform includes jerseys and hats) … in the future, Missy will order hats along with jerseys

-It was decided that the league would order hats with the same Brunswick “B” that the high school uses for baseball uniforms

New Business

-November 6 … we have a spot in the parade but BRLL is in need of a wagon and truck (something that the kids can ride in)

-Ms. Johnson may be able to borrow a wagon from Jed and he will likely be willing to provide straw

-November 12 … Field Cleanup and Close-up starting at 8:30 AM … significant effort to close down the concession stand, pull bases, remove the new net, put away L-screens, etc

-Mr. Hayter talked to Mike French and it was suggested that we aerate and overseed and de-thatch … likely $200-$300, which seems like a competitive estimate

-Mr. Kurtz will procure a scissor lift to take down the net

-Mr. Kurtz, Mr. Hayter and Mr. Ault will discuss needed tools and leaf bags and send out a communication the first week of November

-Board size … board sits at 17 people and is still in need of a Safety Officer but a vote is required to expand board size to 18

-It was unanimously agreed that the Board size would be increased to 18 (proposed by Ms. Martinis and seconded by Mr. Thompson)

-November General Meeting … it was discussed that there may not need to be a November meeting as long as it is communicated (by Ms. Guyton) that there will be no meeting, but will include a recap of the Veterans Day Parade, pictures, etc

-Fall Ball Season … general consensus was that fall ball appears to be proceeding well and the general skill level appears to be improving

-Othello Park … BRLL has approval to put a storage box or shed at Fields 1 and 4 (L-screens must be stored inside a shed)

-Lowe’s may have a charitable trust that may provide a shed or funding for a shed (idea proposed by Ms. Guyton) … Ms. Kurtz will send a request to both the Lowe’s Corporate office and store manager

-Home Depot may have a similar program

New Business

-Ms. Kurtz… updating the sponsorship letter and offerings … Weis donated $1,000, total $16,000

-Ms. Guyton … BRLL is in the Veterans Day parade, waiting on position

-Ms. Hayter … purchased cotton candy, only purchasing hot dogs and rolls

-Ms. Johnson … coaches can now warm up catchers, and several other rule changes … rule changes to be posted on Facebook page and added to Coaching Handbook (Mr. Thompson will make update) … including 8 run rule, intentional walk rule (now required to throw pitches) and expanded number of coaches in the dugout for tournament games (from 2 to 3)

-Rules that didn’t pass were 3-year old t-ball or runners leaving the base too soon

-Mr. Martinis … still learning the ropes, happy to take suggestions

-Ms. Martinis … few thousand from concessions to be deposited this week

-Mr. Higgins … no update this week

-Mr. Yamagata … umping spots opening up but good coverage so far

-Ms. Marker … Player Agent, no update

-Ms. Mobley … spirit wear/uniforms, no update

-BRLL received a significant volume of baseball and softballs (tournament balls, so don’t use them!)

-Mr. Kurtz will remove and replace the padlock on the equipment shed and repalce it with a combination lock

General Discussion

-Ms. Johnson … barn is still undergoing completion pending the installation of garage doors .. .new barn will be heated and air conditioned

-Ms. Johnson … would like to do clinics and crossfit

-Mr. Kurtz has re-done charter and insurance

-All positions updated in the data center

-K&K (secondary insurance) will likely need updated in December … Faith Baptist was removed, SportsPlex was added back

-Ms. Johnson should have everyone sign a waiver to use barn

-Could we add a check-box to registration form (Ms. Johnson will check with attorney)
