Checklist for Selecting a Eulogist

Here’s a simple checklist to help you evaluate and choose the right person to deliver a eulogy:

[   ] Does the person have a close relationship with the deceased?
[   ] Are they willing and available to speak at the funeral?
[   ]  Do they feel comfortable speaking in front of an audience?
[   ]  Can they manage their emotions while delivering the eulogy?
[   ]  Are they capable of connecting with the audience and sharing meaningful stories?
[   ]  Will they have enough time to prepare and attend the service?
[   ]  Is there a backup plan if they are unable to deliver the eulogy?
[   ]  Would it be beneficial to share the role with others or explore alternatives?
