1st quarter Midterm Reset 

Friday, Oct 9th, during 5th and 6th periods before the Homecoming Pepfest.

 Students that have grades of C- or above in all of their classes as of Friday, October 2nd will be eligible to attend.

This quarter's activities are as follows: Frisbee Golf/Ultimate Frisbee, Escape Room, Cooking/Baking Activity, Swimming, Hike in Banning, or Bingo.

All missing 1st quarter work will need to be turned in by the end of the day on Friday, October 9th. Missing work will turn to zeros in the gradebook at the end of the day on 10/9/26.

 Robinson Park on Tuesday, October 13.

 We will leave the school at 9:30 and return by 10:53.

The rain date is Tuesday October 20 

Our annual Veterans Day Program will take place on Tuesday, November 10th at 2:00 p.m.

• Attendance: All students in grades 7 and 8 will be attending.
• Dismissal: Teachers, please release your 7th and 8th-grade students at 1:50 p.m. so they can be seated and ready in the auditorium/gym by 2:00 p.m.
• Guests Welcome: Family members and community Veterans are warmly invited to join us for this special event.

State 4H Horse Show Winners

The 2026 Pine County State 4-H horse team consisted of Three EC students:

Maverick Belanger, Major Belanger, and Journey Bjorklund.

The team had an incredible weekend at the State fairgrounds October 11-13th! Earning 12 trophies, 9 ribbons, and won 3 of the 4 overall Grand Champion     game buckles!

Attention 9-12th graders - Join FCCLA!

FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America)

Join FCCLA to build leadership skills, make new friends, and get ready for your future through fun competitive events, leadership roles, and travel to student conferences. You'll also tackle important issues like fitness, nutrition, peer pressure, and career prep, while making a real difference in our community!

Join us on Tuesdays during lunch in the FACS room 151.

East Central will be administering the PSAT/NMSQT (Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test) on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, beginning at 8:15 a.m.

While taking the PSAT is not required, it can be a valuable opportunity for students. The test:

• Provides practice for college entrance exams such as the SAT and ACT
• Helps students become familiar with the format and types of questions they may encounter on future college placement tests
• Places students in the qualifying pool for the National Merit Scholarship Program

Important: Students must sign up with Mrs. Gaede by September 30 to take the test.

Only 20 tests have been purchased, so spots are limited!
