A guide to c!Sam (also known as rp!Sam or silly guy)
So once there was a man and a woman who loved each other very much..
(Not really. It’s a lot more complicated than that. Strap in.)
So who IS c!Sam?
c!Sam is a character created by me, originally started with just me interacting with Nico Q CTNTDUQ’s c!Wilbur rp account (follow him here. Every TW on the account applies here as well, as does all Nico’s lore.)
But because I am autistic and can’t do anything normally, I made Sam into a character of his own. Which resulted in a long spiral of backstory and after trying to make a thread of keeping the lore up, I gave up and here we are!
Sam, like me, lives in the Netherlands. Which is very very far away from every single member on the server that they talk to pretty much daily. Star only got to know the members by accidentally stumbling upon Wilbur’s twitter account and now they are. well. stuck. very stuck. please help him.
He is a transmasc nonbinary lesbian, 18 years old, uses any and all pronouns except for she/her and lives on their own. Moon was kicked out of his childhood home by their father about a year ago, with reason being him slacking in school and downright ignoring every single outside world thing ever. As it gets sucked into other things very easily, simply forgetting other things exist. (Seeing the projection yet?)
Sam was studying psychology and majoring in biology before eventually dropping out, as one does when getting kicked out of their house with nothing to their name. However, this does mean he is very interested in anatomy and will go into the meaning of humanity a lot. I’m serious. A lot. You can not change stars mind. He is stubborn.
Sam worked as a very legal freelancer, taking jobs that involved retrieving legal data and got him stabbed multiple times. They got stabbed three times while still getting paid for the work it was doing, the last being stabbed between the shoulder and neck.
The Horrors
Sam has trauma! Surprise!
Sam has trust issues, which you could call somewhat severe. However he doesn’t like to appear as being distrusting of others, wanting to see the good side in everything and everyone for most days. So to actively see them not trusting someone is rare. But if star says he trusts someone, chances are high they are either lying or gaslighting themselves.
This roots from many things, but the main thing is them being backstabbed by one of his friends. (Pun intended.) Sam has always gone through some shit, doing various (minor) crimes with a little group of friends he met in high school. Think of hijacking a car, graffiti, setting some shit on fire. At some point they got in a fight with each other and Sam threw his body in front of their friend’s, getting quite literally stabbed in the back with a knife. This is where moon lost its first life. It also caused them to have a remaining scar on his back, going from their lower neck to just touching its lower back. This encounter made Sam extremely scared of death and dying.
What Sam themself isn’t aware of, is that both of moons friends were aware of the situation and this was a plan of driving him away from their group. Sam still doesn’t know this and isn’t friends with either of them anymore. (He has their suspicions and theories, but star does not have confirmation nor closure on this.)
Being kicked out of his house made its trust issues worse.
Wilbur exploding after promising Sam nothing bad would happen made their trust issues worse, however he isn’t mad at Wil at all.
Sam MAY show signs of addiction, which is because. well. they’ve been addicted before. And are still coping. Star is a smoker and drinks, however it will drop dead before admitting he’s addicted to alcohol.
The Good Shit. Lore. Lore Time.
This is a recap of c!Sam’s lore that has been posted, plus adding on things that are just. Not able to be made obvious because my ass is STUPID.
When Sam found Wilbur, he almost immediately got extremely confused. Like said before, Sam loves the concept of humanity and everything about it. So when it saw a person who was everything they thought couldn’t exist– it was shocking, to say the least. It caused him to spiral a little bit, since ironically enough they are very afraid of dying itself. He isn’t scared of Wil in the slightest, merely intrigued. They tried to understand everything about the smp– a nonexistent place, according to the place he lives– and when star got to know about the three lives system he ended up completely forgetting himself. Before asking Wilbur directly about it, they tried finding things about the server by using little things Wilbur himself had been talking about (like Kristin, XD, hybrids) but the more they were looking the more he got called crazy by the people around him and the further it was running away from the answers.
I’ve compared Sam to a mad theorist before, wanting to seep in all the information he can get and obtaining all the answers to its questions. If they don’t succeed, it’s most likely he will quite literally rip its own hair out. (In the funny way, not the self-destructive way.)
Before this Sam did not know about the three lives system, limbo, revival or basically anything along those lines. He did know about hybrids, through the sense of mythology. It is canonized that the rest of the world drove hybrids away, leading them to the smp which is basically a safe haven. The smp doesn’t exist according to the rest of the world, so any information about it is unable to be found. Including religion, places, history and where it exactly is. The smp also is not on the maps that are sold in the rest of the world. Sam has been called crazy, insane, even as far as psychotic when asking around about it.
After Wilbur exploded, Sam spiraled into theorizing. Before it had been researching and making theories on how revival and respawning worked, but he had no full lead. When Wil exploded, Sam was in denial that she was actually dead. So like any normal person does, they stared at a wall for 7 hours and were making theory after theory on how Wilbur was still alive. Because how could this guy even die?
(It was right, Wilbur in fact did not die.)
After that nothing really happened for a while, other than Sam’s mental health clearly declining. Such as forgetting to eat, sleep, shower. At one point Sam was writing so much and trying to find information that it was seeing words in the air.
Then Sam went to work! Holy shit? He has a job? Whaaat? Well, here is where Sam got stabbed between his shoulder and neck after their boss decided it wasn’t working fast enough. After being stabbed, Sam still did his work and left about an hour later somewhere in the middle of the night. They went to a pharmacist who looked at star very weirdly, then walked home and cleaned his own wound in the mirror.
They fell asleep on the couch, waking up by his best friend finding him. (Also known as G, Gai, Gaia. Yes, this is from the Greek goddess of Earth Gaia; mother of all life. Also the personification of the earth, which is the most important definition in this case.) G has been dealing with Sam’s shit for. A while. A good while. She stitched the wound on their back, gave him medication and then left promising to come back tomorrow.
She did not come back tomorrow.
After a while Sam got tired of not moving, not doing anything at all. They got a fire in its legs that yelled at him to move and to fucking leave this place. (It may also have had something to do with a message saying the cops found out some things they weren’t meant to find out. Buuut. That isn’t as fun and cool, is it?)
So that’s what he did.
Sam packed some of his shit, leaving the useless things behind and asked Wilbur questions on where to find a boat that would lead them to the smp. Wilbur told star to ask around, because surely he could find it on its own.
For the next few days, Sam walked south with no real plan in mind. Just that they had to go. Once they were somewhere in the middle of France, Wilbur decided it was finally time to mention that where she got his boat was in California.
Sam is currently almost back home, soon to get a plane to California as he can not be asked to walk through the North Sea and the Atlantic Ocean.
