2020 Grand Forks Youth Baseball Association 11/12 League Operations

Season Start:  March 18, 2020

Break (no league activity):  Weeks of July 5 & July 12

Season Concludes:  by July 31, 2020

Practices: 

Indoor (Gambucci): Starting March 18th and continuing until weather permits outdoor practices.  2 per week on Tuesday and Wednesday.  Group setting, with kids rotating among different stations.  

Outdoor (Field TBD):  As early as weather permits and continuing until the week of July 19 (no practices during the weeks of July 5 and July 12).  1 per week, mainly on Tuesday (Wednesday & Thursday possible depending on field and umpire availability).  Practice will be in a team environment.

*Structure of the league will consist of 1 game night and 1 practice night per week.  Each team coach will have the option to hold optional practices, with no more than 1 optional practice per week (i.e. no more than 3 league baseball nights per week).  Night of optional practice would be determined by the team coach.  

Games: 

1 night per week, mainly on Wednesday (Tuesday & Thursday possible depending on field and umpire availability).  No games during the weeks of July 5 and July 12.  Single game (or shortened double headers) while school is in session. Full double headers once school is concluded.  Minimum of 10 games must be played.  

Regular Season Game Start:  First week of May, weather dependent.  

Regular Season Conclusion:  Week of July 19, 2020.

Regular Season League Tournament:  Week of July 26, 2020 [this will be the last week of games]

Team Evaluations:  One evaluation for each player.  Teams will be put together by a committee consisting of the 11/12 coordinator, 1 executive board member, and 12U Travel Coach.

2 Divisions:  Yes if 8 or more teams - divisions will be divided by skill level (American and National divisions).   If less than 8 teams, status of dividing the league will be evaluated for the best development of players.   

Number of Teams in League:   As many teams as numbers allow.  10-12 players per team.

Travel Teams in League:  No
