February

Route 21 service withdrawn between Hoxton Baring Street and Newington Green, and extended via Essex Road, Highbury Corner and Holloway Road to terminate at Holloway Nag's Head in lieu of the now-withdrawn 271 service. (PVR 24). (4 February 2023).

Route 76 re-allocated to be fully operating from Northumberland Park (NP) following a temporary spell of Stockwell (SW) partially operating the route due to staff shortages. PVR to remain unchanged. (4 February 2023).

Route 91 awarded to Go Ahead London: London General from Northumberland Park (NP) Stockwell (SW) with existing Alexander Dennis Enviro 400 MMC bodied Volvo B5L hybrid double decker buses (EHV1-16) introduced and one Wright Eclipse Gemini 3 bodied Volvo B5L hybrid (WHV50) as a spare vehicle (PVR 15). (4 February 2023)

Route 107 re-allocated from Edgware (EW) to Potters Bar (PB) garage to compensate for the loss of route 234 at this depot, and to allow electrical infrastructure work to begin ahead of the route 251 takeover at Edgware (EW) later in the year. Allocation to temporarily be TE977, 979, 981, 983-990 until drivers are type trained on the new allocation of VWH2234-43 (PVR 9) (4 February 2023).

Route 234 extended from Highgate Wood terminus to Archway Station via Highgate Station following the re-routing of route 263. Service to be re-allocated from Potters Bar (PB) to Holloway (HT) with current existing buses to compensate for the loss of routes 91 and 271. (PVR 12). (4 February 2023).

Route 263 re-routed between Highgate Wood and Archway Station to run via Highgate Village instead of via Highgate Station to replace and retain links lost by the complete withdrawal of route 271. The 263 is to assume the 271 contract until it expires. Hybrid buses from routes 91 and 271 to be introduced later in the Spring to replace current TE-type buses (PVR 18+1). (4 February 2023).

Route 271 day service withdrawn completely and will be replaced with various changes to route 21, 234 and 263 with the night service still remaining as renumbered N271. (4 February 2023)

Route N271 is a new night service to be operated by Metroline (garage not confirmed) between Moorgate Finsbury Square and North Finchley Bus Station, following the 271 route to Highgate Village and the re-routed 263 route to North Finchley (PVR 3). Route to be joined to the [new] 263 contract. (4 February 2023)

Route W5 retained by Stagecoach: East London from Ash Grove (HK) with new electric single decker buses to be confirmed (PVR 8). (4 February 2023)

Route 718 is a new, limited-stop temporary route every 15 minutes supporting the Bakerloo line closure between Queen's Park and Harrow & Wealdstone. The service stops at all tube stations on this stretch except for South Kenton, which is served by an additional stop at Preston Road instead. Additional stops are made at Wembley High Road and the stop for Harlesden Station is moved to Harlesden Jubilee Clock. 7-day contract awarded to Abellio London with existing double deckers to be used from Battersea (QB). Route 719 is a new, limited-stop temporary route every 15 minutes supporting the Bakerloo line closure between Queen's Park and Harrow & Wealdstone. The service stops at all tube stations between Queen's Park and Stonebridge Park, then a stop at Park Lane (Wembley) and Wembley Park. The stop for Harlesden Station is moved in both directions to Harlesden Jubilee Clock. 7-day contract awarded to Metroline West with existing double deckers to be used from Willesden Junction (WJ). Route 720 is a new, limited-stop temporary route every 20 minutes supporting the London Overground closure between London Euston and Watford Junction. The service stops at all London Overground stations between Watford Junction and Harrow & Wealdstone, then non-stop to Harrow Bus Station. 7-day contract awarded to Sullivan Buses with existing single deckers to be used from South Mimms (SM). (PVR 6) (11 February 2023)

Route U5 to temporarily see new Wright Electroliner EV (3001-3029) buses introduced alongside existing EV allocation to allow internal movement of buses across Abellio for re-launch of route 718 (February 2023).

Route 427 route withdrawn between Southall, Town Hall and Acton High Street and rerouted to terminate at Southall Station. (4 March 2023)
