Climate Action Call
Action Toolkit: April 21, 2022
Use the following instructions to create a climate hero mask to send to your House Representative.
Step 1 - Print & Cut Out Template
Print the Climate Hero Mask Template. Cut out your mask template, including the eye holes.
Step 2 - Transfer Design & Cut Out Mask
Use a pen, pencil, or marker to transfer your mask design onto your mask material, then cut out your mask.
Raid your recycling bin for materials you can use to make your mask. Cereal or cracker boxes, file folders, shipping envelopes, and cardstock mailers are all great options.
Step 3 - Decorate
Use whatever you have on hand - markers, crayons, paint, construction paper & glue, stickers, or even newspaper articles - to decorate your mask. Get creative!
Step 4 - Add a Strap (optional)
If you have ribbon, elastic, string, or twine handy, you can add a strap or tie to your mask. (optional)
Step 5 - Personalize with a Message
On the back of your mask, please write:
“Will you be our climate hero?
Your Name, Your Town”
Write a brief note to your Representative to send with your mask. A few sentences is fine!
In your note, introduce yourself and…
When your mask and note are complete, put them in an envelope and send them to your house representative!
Look up your representative’s mailing address here.
TAKE A PHOTO
Snap a photo of you or your child wearing the mask, or take a picture of your mask and note together.
Write a short message and post to Twitter or Facebook, with a picture of your mask. Here’s an example:
#BurningQuestionMA Will you be a climate hero and stand up to the gas companies? Our Reps should decide how we transition to clean energy, not fossil fuel executives. I want the House to create a #BigClimateBill this session. tinyurl.com/BQMass @RonMariano @jeffroy #mapoli
