How to Run Built-in Reports
Get started on the basics of generating reports and filtering for the information you need. You can find a list of the most commonly used reports here.
How to Access ReportsFrom your Quick Launch enter “Report Browser Here you can browse Reports by data category. Click on the data category you are looking for or type it in the search bar. | |
Category ScreenClick on the individual report to enlarge the example and preview the data, when you are ready Click on the Open Report to see the data for your school. | |
Reports ScreenAll reports have the same five tabs: Options, Sort/Output, Conditions, Selection, and Advanced. We will go through the four tabs before you click ‘Print’. | |
Options Taballows you to customize your report for specific information. Options vary depending on the report. Some of the most common options include: Grade: select the grade level or range of grades you want included in your report Date Start and Date End: filters the report to include only results which occurred on these dates | |
Sort/Output Taballows you to change the order the data is displayed and to change the File Type before clicking ‘Print’ to download on your computer. | |
Conditions Tab On the Conditions tab, add limits to your report:Select a Condition to define the search term Set NOT and use OPERATORS to limit a condition Select a VALUE to define the matching dat | |
Selection TabSelect the filter to only see the data for the focus group selected; Admin, Students, Parents, Staff | |
Advanced Tab provides options to run reports regularly and be emailed to designated staff.Schedule Task - Once, Weekly, Monthly, CustomStart Time - When you want it emailedStart Date - Usually current dayStop Date - Usually last day of schoolSchedule Task Weekly - Every 1 week on a dayNotification - Enter your email address and staff’s email address (separated by commas). Check include the report as attachment. | |
NOTE: If you will email a report regularly, remember to change the date on the Options Tab. Start Date = $DATE-# where # is the number of days before the current date. End Date = $DATE is the current date. With scheduled reports, this is the date the report is run. | |
