AKWA MARINA RULES & REGULATIONS
GENERAL FACILITY RULES
The following rules shall apply to the facilities located at the Akwa Marina Yacht Club (the “Marina”), having an address of 95 Centenary Ave, Laconia, NH 03246 (the “Facilities”)
- NO SMOKING ANYWHERE. This is a non-smoking Facility. This includes American Boat Club boats.
- All Children under the age of 18 are to be accompanied by an adult at ALL times while on the premises. Parents are responsible for the actions of their children.
- Disorderly conduct by Renter, Renter’s Children or their guests shall be cause for immediate termination of rental without refund to Renter. Disorderly conduct is deemed at the sole discretion of Akwa Marina Yacht Club.
- Use of the Facilities is for renters of slips and cabanas (as defined in the AKWA Marina Yacht Club Agreement, the “Renters”) and members under the American Boat Club Program Agreement, members under the AKWA Marina Social Membership Agreement, and members under the Meredith Bay Use and Access Agreement (the “Members”) and direct family of Renters or Members only. Direct family is defined as: unmarried children up the age of 26 and limited to 5 or less children. All direct family members names will be provided to the Marina at the Marina’s request.
- Entry onto the dock area is restricted to renters of slips, renters of drive on jet docks, members of the American Boat Club, and guests of the same.
- Renters and Members will be given 2 Key Cards. REPLACEMENT KEY CARDS COST $100, no exceptions.
- No supplies, materials, accessories, or debris shall be stored on walkways including the docks, nor shall any structures be constructed or placed on the docks or walkways without the permission of Marina.
- Rafts, kayaks, canoes, coolers, chairs, dock boxes, etc. are not to be stored on the docks or in the water.
- Large pop up tents and oversized umbrellas are not allowed anywhere within the Facilities unless approved by Marina.
- Boat trailers are not permitted to be parked on Marina property unless arranged with the Marina. Trailers left will be towed at owners expense or assessed a $50.00 per day fee until removed.
- No charcoal grills or open fires shall be allowed on the docks, on vessels while docked at the Marina, or on Marina property except in an approved location. Such locations are subject to availability.
- No engine fuel shall be carried on or off any docks.
- No swimming or diving shall be permitted within or near the Marina Docking area. This is for your safety!!!
- Any vessels which become immobilized at the Marina shall be removed by Marina at Renter’s expense.
- Renters and Members shall ensure that they and their guests use discretion in operation of all noise or sound generating equipment so as not to create a nuisance. Gatherings within the Marina shall be conducted so that the rights of others at and around the Marina are respected and reasonable peace and quiet are not breached. Noise shall be kept to a minimum after dusk.
- Marina beach and Facilities must be quiet by 11:00 pm.
- All pets shall be kept on a leash and taken directly from car to boat or boat to car (this is referencing privately owned boats not American Boat Club boats). No pets shall be allowed anywhere on Marina property or beach, except the southeast portion of the Facilities designated for walking of pets. Owners must pick up after their pets. Pets are not allowed on American Boat Club boats. Emotional Support Animals are not allowed on American Boat Club boats. This is strictly enforced.
- Use of Marina grills is subject to availability. User must provide their own propane tank. The gas grills are not allowed to be moved from their location in the picnic area on the grass. Personal grills are not allowed anywhere in the Facilities.
- All lavatory and clubhouse facilities are to be locked when not in use. All children under the age of 16 shall be accompanied by an adult when using lavatory and clubhouse facilities.
- Marina and/or its agents shall not be responsible for vandalism, fire, storm, theft, or acts of God.
- The use of the wood fire pit is not guaranteed. Marina expects Renter to put out fire after use.
- No outside food or drinks shall be permitted in the pool, hot tub, or volleyball court area. This is subject to change.
- Please clean up after yourself. Place trash in garbage cans or recycling bins. If you have large volumes of trash please place in appropriate dumpster. Do NOT place garbage in the small bathroom garbage cans. Do not overfill garbage bins.
- Violation of any of the rules and regulations, disorder in conduct, or indecorous conduct by the guest, their employees, invitees or agents, that might injure a person, cause damage to property or harm the reputation of Marina shall be the cause for immediate removal from the Marina of the vessel in question and permanent expulsion of Renter, Member, and their invitees or agents or until written reinstatement is given by Marina.
- Bicycling, rollerblading, skateboarding etc. shall be prohibited within the Marina.
- There is no lifeguard on duty at the Marina pool. Please swim or use Marina Facilities at your own risk.
- Please be respectful when an area of the Marina is restricted from general use for a private function.
- Vehicles are not to be left in the parking area during long periods of vehicle owner’s absence. Any vehicles suspected of being “stored” in any parking area on the property will be towed at the vehicle owner’s expense.
- The pool and hot tub may be closed any time after September 15th during cold weather.
- The Lawns, Pavilions, Beach Bar, or any portion of the Marina Facility can be reserved for private parties or events. The general use of parts of the Marina Facility is not guaranteed. To make a reservation contact Marina. There is a fee for private parties or events.
- The use of any Marina Facility and Amenities is not guaranteed.
- The marina beach hours of operation are 9 AM to 5 PM daily.
- The marina pool area hours of operation are 10 AM to 8 PM daily
- No open fires of any kind are permitted at the Marina.
- The renter/members agree that they shall not, at any time during the term of this Agreement or thereafter, make, publish, or communicate to any person or entity, any defamatory or disparaging remarks, comments, rumors or statements concerning the other Party, its affiliates, or their respective businesses, employees, officers, directors, agents, or representatives.
- These Rules and Regulations are subject to change at any time without notification.
POOL RULES
- The Pool is for the exclusive use of Akwa Marina Yacht Club Members.
- No Lifeguard on Duty ~ SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK.
- No Diving.
- Swimmers must take a cleansing shower before entering the water of the pool or spa. No sand shall be permitted to enter the pool.
- Children under the age of 18 are not allowed in the pool area without proper adult supervision.
- Members shall not bring food, or drink into the pool, spa or within 4 feet of the water’s edge.
- No glass is permitted within the fenced-in pool & spa area.
- Please keep noise levels to a minimum.
- All Members must present a valid membership card upon request or may be asked to leave the premises.
- No pets are allowed at any time.
- Members shall not run or engage in boisterous rough play in the swimming area.
- No clothing permitted in pool or spa, swimsuits only.
- Members shall not spit in or in any other way contaminate the water, floors, walkways, cabana area of the swimming facility.
- Members shall not bring or throw into the water any objects that may in any way carry contamination or otherwise endanger the safety of swimmers.
- Members shall not discharge any bodily fluids into the water of the pool or spa.
- Members with any communicable disease shall not enter the water of the pool or spa.
SPA RULES
- The Pool is for the exclusive use of Akwa Marina Yacht Club Members
- No one shall use the spa alone unless permitted by the Marina.
- No one shall use the spa if under the influence of alcohol, anticoagulants, antihistamines, vasoconstrictors, vasodilators, stimulants, hypnotics, narcotics or tranquilizers.
- People who are elderly, pregnant or suffering from heart disease, diabetes, or high or low blood pressure should check with a physician before using spa.
- Unsupervised children under 18 years of age shall not use spa.
- Temperature and/jets are subject to availability.
- Do not use body oils or lotions before entering or while in spa.
- Please rinse off prior to entering spa. No sand shall be permitted to enter the spa.
- The spa shall not be used for periods longer than 10-minutes without a break period to cool off.
Beach Club Guest Policy
- Membership includes you, your significant other, and all children under 25. (two key cards)
- Single children of the member over 25 can register for a junior membership for $200 per season, under the member. (one key card) [Seperate agreement]
- Children of the member over 25 who are married without children can get a couples membership for $400 for one season, under the member. (two key cards) [Seperate agreement]
- Children of the member over 25 who are married with children can get a family membership for $800, for one season, under the member. (two key cards) [Seperate agreement]
- Members are allowed to bring grandparents and caretakers/nannies. The grandparent or caretaker/nanny must be accompanied by a member.
- Guest must be registered.
- Registered guests are $20 per person per day.
- Pre-registered guests are $10 per person per day.
- Pre-registered guests are booked online through the web portal only at least 24 hrs prior.
- Guests registered the day of are $20 per guest per day and due at check-in. Cash/check/cc are acceptable.
- Children under 12 years old do not need to be registered (free) but they must be accompanied by their parents. Children under 18 must be accompanied by the parent and registered.
- There is a limited number of guests allowed to be registered at the club every day. This number varies based on peak and non-peak days. Checking for availability and pre-registering your guests in advance is recommended.
- You do not need to register a guest to take them out on your boat or a boat club boat.
- The penalty for non-registered guests is $100 per person per day.
- Repeat offenders can lose guest privileges for the remainder of the season.
- Members, Junior Members, Couples Members, and Family Members all have the exact same access level. When a member sells their property in MB all secondary memberships (Junior Members, Couples Members, and Family Members) are all terminated instantly, with no refund.
- Key card replacements are $100.
- All key cards are to be returned to Akwa when membership is terminated for any reason.
Other:
- Children's birthday parties: Must be pre-booked 30 days in advance. Depending on day, number of guests, time of day and type of party. The site fee can vary from $50 to $1000. Based on availability.
- Adult parties: Must be pre-booked 30 days in advance. Depending on day, number of guests, time of day and type of party. The site fee can vary from $100 to $4500. Based on availability. This fee does not include a tent, live music, etc.
Check-in procedure:
- The member must go to the Check in Location and speak with the Marina Crew.
- If you pre-registered, give them your name and they will provide you with your guest passes for the day.
- If you did not pre-register and want a guest pass the day of. Ask the dock hand if there is any guest passes available. If there are no guest passes, unfortunately, the club is booked for the day. If there are guest passes you can book them and pay the fee to the dock crew. The crew will provide you with your guest passes for the day.
- At the end of the day simply remove your wristband guest pass and throw it away.
- The check in procedure may be subject to change.
If a Member would like to propose and sponsor a family for a beach club membership, they can submit their name and contact for consideration. The proposer must be someone who has known the prospective member for at least one year.
