Current Pallet Version 14.0
Current Loader Script (found inside the Sorter) 14.0
DO NOT MANUALLY PUT ITEMS INTO A PALLET!! THIS MAY CAUSE THE ITEMS TO BE SENT OFF TO THE VOID AND I WILL NOT REPLACE ITEMS FROM THIS
The VM Designs Sorter-Linked AutoRez (AutoRez from this point forward) is an add-on item that works in conjunction with your VM Designs Sorter. The AutoRez add-on makes your DFS farming easier by taking some of the workload off you and automating it. It’s truly awesome and will automatically pull regularly used items (animal feed, water barrels, Mr Clicky items) from your Sorter and rez them out anywhere you need them (works sim-wide). For example, you work hard pumping barrels of water from your water well. With the AutoRez, you simply put those barrels into your Sorter and the Auto-Rez system will rez out barrels, as needed, to keep your water towers full. The system will even let you know when your Sorter is empty.
NOTE: SL has been causing troubles lately with the auto rezers when you have more than around 1000 items in a crate. I recommend boxing up extras in bundles of 50 or 100 and storing those in your sorters. Then rez out one of those and send it back to your sorter when you start to get low. Some people are fine, some people aren’t. You can see if you get the error and then box up extras or you can just do it to make sure you don’t get the error.
NOTE: If you have a pallet below version 12.0, rez out new pallets and replace all your old ones!! The version 13.0 update ONLY works on Pallets that are version 12.0 or higher.
If your current pallets are version 12.0 or higher, then follow these steps:
NOTE: Version numbers may change so we’re using vX.X in the below in place of actual version numbers.
NOTE: For the Auto Rezer to be able to rez items when the owner is not online the Auto Rezer needs to be in a group that has rez permissions on the land or the land must have open rez turned on.
Step 1 - You need to load a script into your Sorter to allow the AutoRez Pallets to communicate with your Sorter.
Step 2 - Rez out a Sorter Linked AutoRezer Pallet near items where you wish an item to be rezed. For example, place a Pallet for water barrels near your water tower and another pallet where you wish your animal food to rez, etc.
That’s all there is for the initial setup. Your next step is to assign an item for your pallets to rez. That’s covered below in The Pallet section where we’ll cover all the buttons and options on the Pallet.
NOTE: The Pallet menus are dynamic so buttons may move as items are added/deleted from the list of things your pallet can rez. Therefore, please don’t get in the habit of always clicking the top left button for Food 1 because the button for Food 1 might change locations.
The Pallet communicates with your Sorter and pulls items, as needed, to the location of the Pallet. The Pallet will resize appropriately for the item you wish it to rez. If you click a new (not assigned) Pallet you’ll get a menu with the following options.
Assign = Assigns an item for that Pallet to rez. Clicking Assign brings up another menu with various categories of items you can assign to the pallet, for example, Food, Misc, Water, etc.
Reload = The items the Pallet can rez are pulled from VMD servers so as new items are added you can click the Reload button to update the menu options on your pallet.
Done = Closes the popup menu. Please click Done instead of ignore.
Warn Lvl = Allows you to set a warning if the items in your Sorter fall below this level. The default is 5. Each time the pallet pulls from your sorter it checks the level and if the number of items in your sorter is below this level you’ll get a warning sent to your local chat.
Custom = Brings up the menu to have the Pallet deliver custom items. These options are covered below.
If you have already assigned an item to the Pallet, you’ll see some other options when you click the Pallet to view the menu.
Stop = Stops rezing and places the Pallet in an unassigned state (nothing is assigned for it to rez.
Done = Closes the menu.
Warn Lvl = Works the same as above.
Pause = Puts the Pallet in pause mode, meaning if the currently rezed item is used, a new replacement item will not be pulled from your sorter and rezed. The Pallet will also change color indicating it is in Pause mode.
If your Sorter runs out of the assigned item, the Pallet will turn red indicating the Sorter crate for the assigned item is empty. The pallet will automatically try to pull the item every 30 minutes so if you restock the item, the Pallet will eventually recognize the Sorter was resupplied and resume pulling items. You can force it pull the item without waiting by clicking the Start button.
This section covers the menu options under the Custom menu. It’s used if you wish to have the Pallet rez items that are not listed in either the Food or Misc section.
Set Item = This allows you to set the item you wish the pallet to rez. The best way to obtain this name is to click on the specific item crate on your Sorter to get the popup menu and then copy the name that appears in that popup. Once you have copied the name, click Set Item on the Pallet and paste the name into the popup window and click Submit.
Set Size = This is used to set the size of the Pallet for your custom item. Please DO NOT use Edit and then CTRL+SHIFT to drag the resize boxes because doing so will change the thickness and possibly the position of your rezed item. Here’s how to properly adjust the Pallet size to your desired size.
Set Rot = This option allows you to set the rotation of the selected item. Follow these steps:
Set Height = This sets how high your item should rez above the Pallet. Here’s how to set it.
Test = This allows you to test all the above settings. Here’s how to do that.
Done = Closes the Custom menu
Main Menu = Returns you to the main menu.
Default = Returns all the Pallet settings back to the default (new) settings.
You might desire to have multiple like-items rezed at once such as a row of pine trees. You do not have to go through the entire Custom setup for each like-item you want rezed. Instead, follow these steps.
Step 1: Setup a Pallet for the custom item (set the name, rotation, and height of the item per the above and also set the Pallet size per the above) and have the Pallet rez the item just be sure all is well.
Step 2: Pause the Pallet (VERY IMPORTANT). At this point, you should see the blue (Paused) Pallet with your item rezed above it.
Step 3: Edit and use the SHIFT+Drag on the edited Pallet. This will move the original paused Pallet leaving behind a copy with your rezed item above it. Position your blue paused Pallet and then repeat this SHIFT+Drag as many times as you need to for however many items you wish rezed. NOTE: Be sure you are SHIFT+Draggin the Blue Paused Pallet each time.
Step 4: Once you have all the Pallets positioned, click the blue paused Pallet and click Start to take it out of pause mode.
Step 5: Pick (take) the rezed item. Once all the pallets no longer see this rezed them, they will each start to rez the appropriate item.
Another situation you might have is you want the same Pallet in multiple places on your farm but those places are too far away to use the SHIFT+Drag. If that’s the case, follow these steps:
Step 1: Setup a Pallet for your custom items just like you did in Step 1 above.
Step 2: Edit the Pallet and change the Name to the custom object’s name (Pine Tree for example). Only edit the name and not the description. Editing the name allows you to find the specific item easily in your inventory.
Step 3: Pause the Pallet.
Step 4: Use a SHIFT+Drag to drag the paused (blue) pallet leaving behind a copy.
Step 5: Pick up (take) your paused (blue) pallet).
Step 6: Drop this Pallet anywhere you wish this item rezed. The Pallet will boot up when you drop a copy but may not rez the item yet.
Strep 7: Go back to where your item is rezed (on the Pallet you left behind) and pick up (take) the rezed item. Once you pick up the rezed item, all the new pallets you rezed should rez this custom item as long as you have enough in your Sorter.
