Field Trip Policies

Sick Child/Illness Policy
Students visiting with a school should not be sick or exhibiting symptoms of sickness. Any student that shows symptoms of sickness will be asked to remain with a designated school staff member to wait in an area separate from other students and exhibit play. The student will remain with a staff member until boarding school transportation or parent pick up.
Symptoms include: Fever of 99F or higher, vomiting or diarrhea within the past 24 hours, and an open wound that could transmit pathogens from person to person or a play surface. Visiting students should not show signs of pink eye, undiagnosed rash, or head lice.
Field Trip Terms and Conditions
- Admission for Visiting Adults (parents) is $5 per person. This admission will be paid at the door. Do not collect parent admission and combine with student admission numbers.
- Family Memberships to LWOW include admission to field trips for extra adults only. Memberships do not include student admission.
- Field Trip Base rate is $150 for 1.5 hrs. Includes $50 Deposit.
- Field Trip Base rate covers entry for 1-30 students. Additional students can be added to your visit up to 65 students per time slot at the cost of $5 per student.
- Science Lessons are available during the Academic Year Only at $2 per student lesson at the discretion of the Education Director.
- Cancellations will result in the loss of your $50 deposit. To reschedule a field trip, an additional $50 deposit will be needed to secure the new date. Cancellations due to District Wide closure or use of district weather days will be rescheduled based upon availability with no additional fee.
- Teachers and Chaperones must monitor children.
- Any child in violation of the LWOW sick child policy (fever, vomiting, etc.) may not interact with exhibits/other students. A school staff member must wait with the sick child until boarding school transportation or parent pick up.
- Should groups arrive before their scheduled start time, the facility may be closed or you may have to wait for the previous group to exit.
- Arrival before your start time may result in waiting either outside or on school transportation.
- LWOW does not offer lunch facilities. We recommend KidsView Park (2.6mi.).

Guest and Member Expectations:
Longview World of Wonders is committed to being a community space that inspires a sense of wonder by giving children the experience to become lifelong learners. To ensure all guests have a positive and safe experience, we expect our staff, volunteers, and guests to act responsibly and be considerate of others.
- No food or drinks are allowed in the space, with the exception of events scheduled in The Factory.
- No smoking/vaping on the property or within 25 ft of the building entrance.
- Shoes are required at all times.
- Use museum equipment and exhibits safely and appropriately.
- Pets are not allowed at the Museum. Service animals are welcome.
- Guests are asked to model positive behaviors and treat other visitors with kindness and respect.
- Offensive, abusive, or threatening language or behavior towards other guests and/or LongviewWOW staff will not be tolerated.
- Firearms or weapons of any kind are not allowed in the building.
Photo Policy
By entering the building, you allow LongviewWOW to capture photography or video footage of your visit. If a child is not to be photographed, it is up to the reserving group to notify LWOW.
