Cares Act: Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund

Joffrey Ballet School (JBS)  is providing this information as required by the Federal Student Aid - Emergency Relief Fund. JBS will update this information no later than 10 days after the end of each calendar quarter (September 30, December 31, March 31, June 30).

Joffrey Ballet School acknowledges and confirms that we submitted the request for the CARES Act funds, received the approval for said funds, and have signed and returned the Recipient’s Funding Certification and Agreement for Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students. JBS intends to use no less than 50 percent of the funds received under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students.

JBS is committed to awarding CARES Act / Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds (HEERF) funding in accordance with guidance provided by the Department of Education.



Methodology and Grant Amounts

Application Process

All students who are eligible to participate in programs under Section 484 in the Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended (HEA) are eligible for the Cares Act. An application was sent directly to these students to elect if they would like to apply for funding.

The Joffrey Ballet School utilized the schedule below for distribution of funds, based on the student’s Expected Family Contribution (EFC) as a result of their FAFSA. JBS selected this tiered approach to provide more substantial award amounts to our neediest students.
