Topic 1: Goals for year 3

• Blessing Shed: afternoon restocks and open Saturday. Kick start healthy cooking education in 2025

• Pick one recipe per month from the cooperative extension’s cooking program to shop, prepare and enjoy on social media.
• Put 10 pre-shopped bags of this recipe in the shed each week of the month.

• Spring break: 100 kids
• Summer: 50 kids, but deliver at beginning and halfway point instead of all at once. Focus on older students if the state is issuing sun bucks again this year.
• Christmas: 50 kids.
• General:

• begin saving for a Southwest location at a TBD location and hire a grant writer.
• File DBA forms for Blessing Shed and Operation Christmas Stocking to formalize those programs
• We had $33,633 in donations in 2024 so we will be filing for state solicitation permissions in Q1 since we saw about $14K in growth between 2023 and 2024.

• Transparency: I would like to start publishing our minutes on our website as well as financial reports.

Topic 2: Bags of Hope

• March 8

• Selling four levels of sponsorships (sponsorship letter attached)
• We need donated prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
• Last year's event raised about $2000. Would love to raise at least $5K this year.

Topic 3: Love your Neighbors food drive

• Feb 1-28
• Focusing on our biggest needs
• Goal: to not ask for monetary donations in January and February for the Blessing Shed
• Requested space outside Walmart and Food Lion the weekend before and after Valentine’s Day. Volunteers will pass out info about what we do and what we need.
• Requesting space for Lowe’s Foods, Publix and Piggly Wiggly too.
• Popshelf
• Grants Creek
• All Ways Moving
• Blue Creek Baptist
• Greater Faith church in Ahoskie

Topic 4: Sustaining students

• In 2024 we fed 54 students for spring break.
• If each child receives: 12 chef boyare Dee, 16 fruit cups, a 25 count of single serve cereal, and 20 packs of crackers, it’d be about $35 per student.
• Right now we can feed 42 students without asking for donations.
• GOAL: 100 STUDENTS 

Topic 5: Financials

• Lise has submitted all the paperwork for Q1 and 2 sales tax reimbursement and is working on Q3 and 4.
• Once she’s done, I’ll organize the binders by account and schedule to drop them off for our independent audit.
• Facebook giving remains disabled due to paperwork issue but the IRS has assured us we should be good to go mid-January. Once that’s done, we’ll reapply
• How do the accounts look currently

• General Fund: $8014.19
• Storage unit rent paid through April.
• Insurance paid until ???
• Blessing Shed: NOTE: I moved all but $31.32 from this account to general fund so we had fewer accounts to track.
• Sustaining students / Operation Christmas Stocking: 1469.78

• Food Lion gave us $2500
