Another school year has come to an end! I’m sure that as parents of rising sixth graders, it must seem amazing that your child is already preparing to enter Middle School. I hope that you and your child are anticipating the upcoming year as much as I am! In preparation for the upcoming year, I am sending home information regarding this year’s summer reading assignment. The 6th grade curriculum at BCS is highly literature based and summer reading will prepare your student for the work that we will be doing in class next year. Your student will be reading two books over the summer and completing a project, which is due during the first week of school. This project will be graded and counts as the first test grade of the new school year. I hope you have a wonderful summer and I look forward to working with you in the upcoming year!
