Seventh Farm Riding School and McCadden Show Stables Scheduling App- Q & A
When you are scheduling a make up class, you need to schedule a make up in the level that you are currently riding in. Level 2 classes are all on Saturdays. Levels 3 - 5 are on Sunday- Wednesday. If you are riding in a Level 2 class and schedule a class in Level 3 you will be charged up grade. The cost for the Level 3 up grade is $30.
All riders should be striving to move up the levels. Once you are able to tack your horse, walk and trot you should be looking to move up to a Level 3 class and start considering a horse to lease. 1.Q- How do I set up an account?
A- You will soon get an email to create your account. Please keep track of this log in and password. You will need to be able to easily access this scheduling app. I suggest that you have it easily accessible on both your phone and your computer. I personally have downloaded a separate search engine just for the scheduling app. Both Chrome and Mozilla are really good. I am just using that search engine just for scheduling so that it is easily available.
2. Q- How do I cancel a class?
A- once you have set up an account you can track your classes. To cancel a class go into the calendar and find the class day and time that you will be absent and click on the cancel button. You will then type in your absence reason and you will be offered a make- up class. You must cancel your class 48 hrs before the start of the class to be granted a makeup class.
3. Q- How do I schedule a make- up class?
A- Go into your account, clinic "View Make-ups". This will bring up all the lessons that you have canceled and then you can click the "book this makeup lesson". From there the app will show you all the classes with availability for makeups. Go ahead and click to choose your makeup and it will automatically be added to your schedule. **** In order to schedule a makeup, you must have cancelled your class before the class started.
4. Q- How can I view my schedule?
A- Go into your account and click "schedule". This will bring up your most current schedule.
5. Q- Will I be notified when I have classes?
A- You can go into the app and see your schedule at any time. For the time being I have turned off the notifications that remind you through email that you have a class the next day.
6. Q- Can I sync up my schedule with my google calendar on my phone?
A- No, not yet. The lady who has developed this app is constantly adding features, hopefully that will be one in the future!
7. Q- How many people can take each class?
A- Each group class is capped at 5 riders.
9. Q- How can I easily access this scheduling app?
A- You should keep this app handy on your phone and computer. You can download Chrome or Firefox and open up the Scheduling App there and just always leave it open.
10. Q- I am sick and I cannot make it to class! What do I do?
A- first, go to the scheduling app. Click on the calendar and find your class day and time that you cannot attend and cancel yourself off that class. You must cancel yourself 48hrs before the start of the class to be granted a make-up class. Your teachers have access to this app, so you do not need to text them, they will see at the start of the class that you will be absent. They will see that you have canceled.
11. Q- how much time before a class can I cancel and still get a make-up class?
A- 48 hours advance notice.
12. Q- There is not much schedule to choose from
A- We set out the schedule only 1 month at a time. You are now all seeing the schedule that we as the scheduler have always been looking at. As we get closer to the end of the month, you will only see maybe 1-2 weeks of available classes. We will release the next months classes around the 24th the month prior. We do ask that you prioritize your riding lessons and attend your classes to limit make-ups. You should be setting up your schedule about a month in advance so that you can get the make-up classes that you want. Riders who do this last minute will have less availability to choose from.
13 Q- How long do I have to schedule my make-up class?
A- Make-up classes within the month that they are missed. With that said on the app you will have 30 days to schedule your make-up class from the time you cancel your regular class. It is best to schedule your make-up classes right away as that will give you the most availability to choose from. Waiting until the end of the 30 day period will not give you many options.
14 Q- What if I am going out of town and will miss 2 weeks of classes in December and I want to do the make-ups in January?
A- We have on occasion allowed this. This may require the admin to step in and schedule your classes for you. When the schedule is available, please do your best to cancel and schedule your make-ups. Whatever you are unable to do, let us know and we can make the changes on the admin.
15 Q- I am the mother of kids and I need to manage their schedules, how do I do this.
A- I will set up an account for the primary person who schedules the kids. Under this account you will see that your kids are under your name. You will now have the flexibility to manage their schedules.
16. Q- I have a work schedule that is erratic, can I still ride.
A- Yes, our scheduling app is very convenient. Liz will place you in a regular class for the month, ex) Sat at 9am. Once the schedule is posted on the 4th week, the month prior, you may go ahead and cancel and schedule as needed.
