On-Line Registration Setup

Overview

This year Wauwatosa School District has implemented an online registration portal to allow parents to update some student information online instead of having to turn in paper forms.

Please note that this year only limited information can be modified in this portal; Specifically:

In subsequent years we will be expanding the service to incorporate more forms and demographics.  At this point in time you may still need to print off some information and turn in paper copies at your school.  An example of this would be the Free/Reduced Lunch Application form.

Please note that while this service has been made available, if you do not want to use it you can still submit paper forms as in previous years at your school on Forms and Fees days.

Process

In order to modify your students information your will need to use your PowerSchool parent portal account.  If you have not yet setup your Powerschool Parent Portal account yet click here for instructions.

From within the Powerschool Parent Portal click on the ‘Returning Student Registration Link’ on the left navigation panel.  This will take you to the online forms.

To begin you will need to confirm that you are over 13 years of age (to meet COPPA compliance guidelines), then click the ‘Begin Forms’ button.  Confirmation of COPPA compliance only occurs once.

On the next screen enter the date of birth for the student listed.  Ignore the references to “Snapcode”.  You need to enter the date of birth of your student here.  Nothing else.  Your child is already linked to you within Powerschool.  This is just to confirm that you are modifying the information for the right one.

You will only need to do the above steps once for each student, but you will need to do them for each student you want to enter information for.  Once those steps are completed the next time you enter the portal you will just be taken to the forms.

There are a number of forms you can complete to update your students information.  They are in order listed on the left hand menu.  

Click on each form to fill out the details, or change information that needs to be changed, and then click ‘Next’ to move to the next page.

Note - much of this information will be pre-populated with information that already exists about your child.  If the information does NOT need to be changed then you do not need to change it, just click “Next”.

Once you have completed all the forms and have clicked on the final Submit button, you can print a copy for your records (Step #1) or if need be, register another student following Step # 3.
