Today my teacher told us we were going to take a  homework  math test on Friday.

Math was my best subject. I knew it would not be easy. At morning tea, I started talking with my best friend Lucas. I told him how nervous I was because of this maths  test.

Lucas said not to worry, that he would teach me his test  math skills.

So, after morning, we both grabbed our reading   notebooks and brought them to lunch to work. As Lucas was showing me his work, my head started to spin. It was like he chose the wrong  math problems and my head was turning into a scary marshmallow.

After school, I talked with my teacher.  She had a big  smile that made me feel a little better. When she told me that I could stay in at morning tea tomorrow to practice the test math problems, my brain  mind became happy!

The next day, I worked and practiced together with my best teacher.  She had a way of making things easier for me to understand. That night, I took home maths  practice to do with my great-grand  parents.

The next day, I was ready for the test! The  sun was shining, the  birds were chirping and I was going to rock my test, I just knew it!
