We're improving democracy

After two incredibly successful years, the DC Local Ambassadors team is moving forward to other forms of grassroots engagement! Thank you for volunteering with us, collaborating with us, and supporting us on this journey.

Our Story

DC Local Ambassadors was a corps of volunteers dedicated to improving American democracy through effective mobilization and protest. We aided march organizations with logistics and volunteers.

We supported marches consistent with the Women’s March on Washington Unity Principles and related issues of inclusion, tolerance, equality, and justice. Between 2017 and 2019, we've supported the Women's March on Washington, March for Truth, March for Racial Justice, Martin Luther King, Jr. Peace Walk and Parade, March for Our Lives, the Poor People’s Campaign, and Zero Hour Youth Climate March.

You can read more about our work in this Washington Post feature by Perry Stein, in our cheeky appearance on Comedy Central, and in Washington City Paper.

What’s Next?

Our team is moving on, but the work to build a more equitable and just society continues. We look forward to working with you in other ways.
