Middle School Weekly Update 11/08/2024
Last Friday was a night to get spooky at the Student Advisory Council’s Halloween Dance. This was a costume dance and prizes were awarded Most Creative and Spooky at each dance. Winners in each category received a gift card to a local establishment.
The 8th grade Family Consumer Science class learned the skill of pumpkin carving. Because the Middle School students were asked to vote on their favorite Jack-o’-lantern, this provided a great opportunity to have a conversation on voting and how to think critically as they discussed creativity, presentation, effort, and technical skill when considering which to vote for, not just what we saw at first glance!
