Hebrews 11: Faith That Moves Us Forward

Moses and Seeing the Invisible

————————————————————————————————————————

Hebrews 11:1 says, “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. When looking at the life of Moses, we see that this is how he lived his life - he lived as if he could see the invisible.

Read Hebrews 11:27 and 1 Peter 1:8-9.

• Since you’ve never seen God, how can you have faith that he exists?
• Can you provide examples or stories of when you’ve clearly seen God working in your life?

Read Hebrews 11:28 and 2 Corinthians 5:20-21.

• Why should we not live in shame or guilt for our sin?
• If God has forgiven you, how should you approach forgiveness of others?

Read Hebrews 11:29 and Colossians 1:13-14.

• God parting the Red Sea is a picture of the deliverance that we have in Jesus. Do you ever struggle with feeling the freedom given to you by Jesus? If so, what would it take for you to live freely?
