Arcade Coin Slot Button
Abstract
An arcade cabinet is modified so that a coin placed on the coin slot can act as a button to “add coins”.
Goals
- Bypass the coin receiver and trigger the “coin insert” with a leaf switch.
- Minimal modification to the existing structure.
Observations
- A plate with a free-floating tab serves as the main button, as seen through the coin slot.
- The tab presses the button of the leaf switch, which is mounted to posts on the plate.
