ProjectMiles Network

Network Rules

This document includes an extensive overview of the network rules we ask you to follow. The ProjectMiles Network Moderation team reserves the right to update these rules at any time. Failure to comply with these rules will result in corresponding punishment.

Disclaimer:

This rule document has been compiled with the utmost care. With each rule we have tried to provide clear examples of what is and what is not allowed. However, it is impossible to describe all cases and scenarios and prevent all loopholes. When the moderator team is in doubt about a rule being broken, it is discussed in discretion and a judgment is made.

Bending rules, finding loopholes, misinterpreting or changing the meaning of the rules to gain advantage is not permitted. In such cases, the situation will be looked at by a Senior Moderator and appropriate punishments will be given.

Also, please understand that all Moderators are humans. Although we all uphold the same rules, it’s up to a Moderator's judgment if they deem a punishment worthy.

If you have questions about your ban, then we recommend creating a ticket on our Discord and NOT to message a Moderator privately. However, if you want to be eligible for an unban, you MUST create an appeal through our website.

Have fun playing on ProjectMiles Network!

If you have any further questions, don’t hesitate to contact the acting Head Moderator. We are always open to discuss or clarify a rule.

1A

Global Rules

This section of rules applies to the entirety of the ProjectMiles Network.

Each rule broken will result in a 30-day ban. The second offense will be a 60-day ban and the third will be a permanent ban. This is unless otherwise stated.

Chat offenses where the player is commenting on other players breaking the rules AND the comment does not bypass the chat filter are to be punished at a Moderator’s discretion.

Alternate Account Limit (Warn, 15-day IP Ban, 30-day IP Ban, 60-day IP Ban, Permanent IP Ban)

Players are not allowed to have more than three accounts online at a time.

Asking/Sharing Personal Information

To ensure everyone's privacy and safety, sharing personal information about yourself or anyone else is strictly prohibited. Personal information is information that could identify an individual, e.g. address details, street names, payment app username, place of residence, personal social media accounts, etc. Sharing nationality, country or a social media account specifically for Minecraft purposes is not prohibited.

Note: You can be punished in two ways for breaking this rule:

Ban/Mute Evasion (IP Ban/Mute double the length of the punishment given, Permanent IP Ban/Mute)

Using an alternate account to evade a ban or mute is not allowed. A player can only be punished for Mute Evasion if they use another account to send messages in the chat, simply being online on another account is not punishable.

Notes:

Compromised Accounts (Permanent Ban)

If said that an account has been bought or spoofed from a 3rd-party and the account has been compromised by another user, the account will be banned for the safety of the actual owner of the account. This includes free online accounts that break minecraft TOS.

Note: Appeals will be accepted if the account is proven that it was bought legitimately.

Discrimination

Any form, (including chat messages, skins, builds, etc), of discrimination, will not be tolerated. Some topics that are not to be discriminated against, but are not limited to, include Culture, Disability, Gender, Race, Religion, Sexual Orientation, etc.

Note: Any discriminatory comments/remarks are punishable, regardless of whether or not they have bypassed the chat filter. This applies to /msg.

Disorderly Conduct (Moderators Discretion, Warn, 1-day ban, 7-day ban, 15-day ban, 30-day ban)

It is important for players to respect each other and maintain a positive and enjoyable gaming environment. Engaging in intentional disruptive behavior or disturbing a Staff Member on duty will result in a punishment. This includes actions such as: Standing in front of a player, staff member, or NPC with ill intent. Purposely filling or clogging another player's inventory. Actively downvoting claims/plots for personal gain.

Note: If a Moderator deems your actions to be a disturbance even if it is not listed will still be punishable.

Exploitations of Bugs / Glitches (Moderator’s Discretion)

Abuse of server mechanics is against the rules. A glitch/bug is an error in the game that would allow you to gain an unfair advantage over other players. Therefore, abusing this will result in serious punishment. If you encounter a bug, you must make a bug report ticket on our Discord server to avoid punishment.

However, duplication glitches that are built into the game's mechanics are not punishable. This means that players are allowed to duplicate items like sand or TNT on the server without facing consequences. Additionally, using vanilla mechanics to break bedrock is allowed.

Ghosting / Teaming (Warn, 1-day ban, 7-day ban, 15-day ban, 30-day ban)

Announcing the murderer in MM after you’ve died or revealing any part of the Maze is considered Ghosting. This includes in game chat as well as /msg. Teaming in a gamemode that doesn’t run in teams or pairs is not allowed. Players who intentionally fight alongside another player in KitPvP (or FFA), is prohibited.

Griefing/Stealing/Killing  (7-day ban, 15-day ban, 30-day ban)

Any form of intentionally griefing, destroying, and/or stealing from another island, property, plot or claim is against the rules (unless you obtain permission from the owner). Always obtain permission from the owner of the property if you want to make changes. Griefing and Stealing are only punishable within claims. This also means for griefed builds and stolen items to be restored, they must be within a claim. Unintentionally griefing or killing will not be punishable.

Griefing and Stealing applies to all gamemodes, except Factions. In Factions it’s allowed to grief, steal. In PvP-gamemodes, such as KitPvP, Duels and Factions, killing is allowed obviously.

Notes:

Harassment (Warning Required / Moderator's Discretion)

Purposefully ruining a single player’s experience on the network is also considered harassment, and will result in punishment. This includes abuse of /helpop.

Note: Do not be afraid to /ignore anyone in chat who is bothering you. If it continues outside of chat, please report the harassment to Staff.

The player who created the inappropriate title or having possession of an inappropriately named item will be punished.

Inappropriate Usernames (Permanent Ban)

Lag machine examples include abuse of redstone, entities, or world edit.

Gameplay Limiting Traps / TPA Killing (7-day ban, 15-day ban, 30-day ban)

Any traps designed to limit another player's gameplay are strictly prohibited. This applies to any trap that renders a player unable to execute any command or interact with any blocks. An example of a Gameplay Limiting Trap would be a nether portal trap, which hinders players from using any command and playing entirely. Teleporting a player with the intention of killing them will also result in punishment.
