`                The process of outlining a speech is broken down into 4 essential steps.

Preparation-

Decide on your topic

Consider the audience and refine your topic to suit them.

Decide on the purpose of the speech.

My Topic:  The problem with referees in rugby

My Audience: class

Purpose of my speech: because we lose our games because of the referee.

Introduction-

Opening greeting and attention grabber.

Define what your speech is about.

Establish your credibility. (Why are you able to speak on this topic?)

An overview and the benefit of your speech for the audience (what will they hear and why is it important)

“Ohh Ref, Come on!” “Are you blind!” “What were you thinking?”

So who knows the problem with refs? At my game of rugby, my friend scored a try and then the Kaio ref said “knock on!” It was a full try! But because the ref is the boss, we took the knock on resulting in a try for the opposition. We complained but... NOTHING!

Hi, I’m Noah, and I’m here to talk to you about the problem with refs!

A referee is an official who watches  a game or a match closely to make sure that everyone is using the rules correctly in every sport game.

I’ve had my fair share of bad calls made by refs so I’m going to tell you how they can do better.

So i think if referees want to be on the field they have to go through training and become a qualified referee.

Have more than one ref on the field so they see more and pay them a decent wage.

Referees should have to go through training and become a qualified referee because a proper ref says the right calls, they know the rules and stay up to date with changes.  But a random guy who got hired says that wrong calls, he might be a bit bias for one team, or only know some of the rules of the game (even though they probably think they are an expert!). So I'm saying we just need proper, trained referees because  we can’t just have random people.

Having more than one ref on the field will help because

If a ref is on the other side on the field and someone knocks it on and then the ref does not see it they will just carry on the knock on ball.

If we pay refs a decent wage they will be more committed to the game and keep up their training. They will be responsible for their actions and calls so will try harder to make them right.

Conclusion

Summary of pain points

Closer or call to action (what do we need to do now?)

So next time when a referee or a random guy wants to be on the field the haft to go through proper training it is not just me complaining about this it is heaps of people who play sports like if your referee is qualified that's good but if you have a random guy who got paid doing this you might have a bad game so have proper referees not random, And always remember...

Keep calm and let the kids play:}
