Signifinators in tarot

What is a significator?

A significator is the card you choose that represents the person you are reading, or it can be used to help keep the focus on the question, situation, problem or topic that you may be reading about instead of a person.

The card that is chosen as the significator that signifies the person you are reading clarifies that type of energy that, that person is bringing into the situation or experience that called for the reading to begin with, or if the card is a court card (king, queen, knight, or page) it could also signify the type of energy that person is needed to bring into the situation or experience that called the need for the reading to begin with. This practice is not utilized in the same way that it used to be, most don't even know what it is or haven't even heard of it, my personal opinion is that if you are really guided to be a tarot card reader and are serious about learning tarot then do lot's of research, not all courses, teachers include the same curriculum, each are unique and would be impossible to include all that there is to learn and just one course, it's a life-long learning journey and one worth taking!
