- PreK Parent: Always experienced an open door and very vocal relationship with teachers and paras. Both good and bad days are shared as well as advice on how to get extra support services.
- Teacher: Agrees and adds on that teachers try to make sure they share just as much good and bad.
- Walkthrough of Kindergarten-Grade 2 examples of what the assessments look like with brief explanations
- Explanation of data results from Fall 2025-26 compared with Fall of 2024-2025
- Explanation that data is expected to be below grade level as this is the start of the school year.
- Data analysis by grade level. Mrs. Simpson explains the red/yellow/green color coding (below, slightly below and on grade level)
- Data can be interpreted that improvement is needed in comprehension while student strengths are apparent in high frequency words and phonics
- Data analysis by grade level. Mrs. Heskial explains status of students at each grade level in terms of the percentage of students in a good spot versus the percentage of students that need instructional support.
- A mid-year assessment will be conducted to compare results and revisit where improvement is needed.
- Data over the last 3 years among subgroups is analyzed to discover that there are small gains occurring with each new year.
- Teachers provide feedback to what is impacting their classrooms
- Mrs. Joshua shares experiences with ensuring all students have a library card and taking a field trip to the library to build a love for literacy.
- Students are “Reading their Environment”
- Mrs. Heskial elaborates on the WIN period in classes and explains how students needs are differentiated and all are working only on a skill they need improvement with.
- Parent asks for more information about summer school, when that begins and how students are enrolled.
- Mrs. Simpson explains the layout of the curriculum and general process of how to enroll.
- Mrs. Heskial explains how summer school is mandated for students with P.I.D. notifications (promotion in doubt.)
- Trunk or Treat will have 11 cars
- Going forward it will be held on another day as not to infringe on Halloween.
- Think about a way to fundraise to lower the cost for students to attend
- Collaboration with QCH is needed to ensure that events don’t overlap.
- Fall parade will not be held this year in lieu of the trunk or treat
- Next year idea: A trunk or treat in the open street space with makeshift trunks
- The student turnout may be greater if flyers are back packed. Possibly create a seasonal PTA newsletter that notifies parents of upcoming events.

- How can we partner with them?
