SECTION 5 INTERMEDIATE ALL STARS
Welcome and Congratulations to all Section 5 Participants for the Intermediate (Level) 2025 All Stars. The Tournament will be hosted by (fill in the information)

The Tournament site will be: South Sunrise Little League. Located at 333 S. Prospect St., Orange, CA 92869
Team Process/Responsibilities for Section 5 level tournaments. Attached you will find the All -Star Section 5 Bracket and the map to the location.
PRE- GAME: Please arrive 1 hour before game time and check in with the Tournament Director. We will do the coin toss to determine Visitors/Home. Visitors’ 1St base side, Home 3rd base side 45 mins. before game time. The coin flip must be with the Tournament Director.
Lineups/ Announcing Roster and All-Star Binders: See the Tournament Director and give them your All-Star binder- your announcing roster and ALL 4 copies of your lineup card which will be provided by the Tournament Director at each site, with full names (First & Last), positions by number, and jersey number. After verification of line ups Managers will receive them back to present to the Umpire at plate conference. Once the Umpire confirms the line up cards with the Managers, they become official. Rule 4.01
Official Scorebook will be at the discretion of the District Administrator: by Paper/Game Changer. If Game Changer is used, both the teams line ups will need to be entered 30 mins. prior to the start of the game. Both the Official Scorekeeper and the Pitch Counter will be at the designated scorekeeping table/area behind home plate.
1. No warm-ups unless medical releases are in the binder.
2. Warmups prior to infield practice will be done in the outfield areas only. Bat in the hand batting helmet on the head even if wiffle balls are used. Pre-game warmups with a player receiving a ball with an individual hitting, must wear a Catcher’s Mask. No soft toss into any fences please.
3. No one is allowed to sit on buckets in the dugout doorways. There is no batting allowed in the dugouts. Gates will be closed.
4. Only those named on the team’s affidavit are allowed in the dugout and playing field once the team takes the field. (1 Manager, 2 Coaches)
5. Introductions and Pledges will be done 10 minutes before game time. Teams will wait in the dugout to be announced to come out to the field. One player from each can be asked to lead in the pledges.
Managers may also do the Parent pledge.
6. Batting cages are first come first served- if available. HELMETS are required and MUST BE WORN
7. Equipment: All equipment must be Little League approved. No exceptions! Managers are responsible for the legality of the team’s bats, helmets and ALL equipment. RULE T-3 G, and T-3 B will be followed.
Throat Guards are a must. Rule:1.17. NO Skull caps are allowed!
8. All Players & Coaches on both teams must be in their respective dugouts 40 Minutes before the scheduled game time. Even if they are not taking infield. Visitors will take infield 40 minutes before game time for 10 minutes. Home team 30 minutes before game time for 10 minutes. Managers and Coaches may NOT warm up the pitchers anywhere at any time.
9. Umpire Realm: The Umpires will resume control of the game. Managers, Coaches and Players need their approval to leave the dugout for ANY reason.
10. Electronic Equipment: The use of Go Pro type Camera’s and iPhones, attached to the screens, will be restricted to the upper outer edges of the back stop screen. They are not to be attached to the screen directly behind the home plate areas or inside the Tournament Directors area. They should not interfere with the view of the spectators and must be removed if either Team objects to their use. They must be muted.
11. The use of ANY Cell Phones for communication by voice or text during the game is not permitted and may result in ejection from the game. Rule 3.17 EXCEPTION: A Manager or Coach is permitted to use one-way electronic devices from the dugout to the Catcher while the team is on defense for the purpose of calling pitches. A Manager or Coach shall not use the device outside the dugout or bench area.
12. NO PHOTOGRAPHERS are to be on the playing field without approval from the Tournament Director in a designated area.
13. Spectators that do not show good sportsmanship will be warned. If not in compliance, the Tournament Director will ask them to leave the premises and may not return to the game. A reminder: Players, Managers and Coaches are not to talk to or mingle with Fans, Parents or Spectators as this may be cause for removal from the game.
14. NO music or noise makers are allowed at any time. NO Pre-game warm-up, or Walk-up music. The Host league may play “appropriate baseball” music at the games.
15. Substitutions: Substitutions should only be made by the Manager and inside the field of play with the Umpire /Official Scorekeeper. Defensive substitutions must be made according to the rulebook and at the time the team takes the field defensively. DO NOT ASSUME YOUR SCOREKEEPER KNOWS YOUR CHANGES. Note: District 30 will require change/sub slips for pitching and catching changes at all levels.
16. Pitch Count: The Official Tournament Scorekeeper with the Official Pitch Counter is responsible for the pitch count. The pitch count will be given to the Manager/Coaches by PA announcement in between innings. Game Changer may be used with a pitch count sheet for back up. Managers are responsible for their team’s compliance related to the pitch count limits for each pitcher.
PROTESTS: will be handled in compliance with Conditions of Tournament Play, under Protest
1. Must be done before the next pitch: Request time and wait until the Umpire grants time. If a rule is in question, talk to the Umpire who made the ruling.
2. If after the Umpire has conferred with the other Umpire(s) and you still believe the ruling is incorrect, the Umpires will confer with the Tournament Director.
3. If you believe the ruling is still incorrect and you are filing a protest. You must know the rule that has been broken. The matter will be referred to the Western Region and if necessary, Williamsport.
Their decision is FINAL.
DRESSCODE:
1. All Managers and Coaches will be dressed in appropriate attire. No t-shirts with inappropriate advertising or logos, no uniforms, and no flip flops. No surfer shorts or gym shorts, basketball shorts or cut offs.
2. Managers and Coaches may wear team caps on the field and in the dugout.
3. Hats are not to be worn backwards by anyone on the playing field.
4. Eye Black is allowed when done in compliance with Little League. ONE black horizontal line under each eye only, no writing, sign logos, glitter or facial drawings.
POST GAME:
Managers are responsible for verifying the pitch count; sign the pitching affidavit and picking up the All Star binder and paperwork. We will not come looking for you. Please remember to do this within 10 minutes after the game. D30- Next Game Form will be provided.
CHAMPIONSHIP GAME:
Championship Rings/Awards/Banner will be given immediately after the game. Teams will return to the dugouts and wait to be announced. The finalist team will be announced first with Champions announced second. The winning team will meet the Tournament Director on the field to receive the information for the State Tournament. Parents will be allowed to enter the field and take pictures and hear the information to the next level.
Field Location Restrictions
All locations: Regulation XIV the possession and /or use of firearms, tobacco products cigarettes including e- cigarettes, vapors, controlled substances and alcohol in any form is prohibited on the playing field, benches, dugout. Alcohol is prohibited at all areas of the facilities. Any person(s) who are intoxicated or under the influence of illegal drugs are not allowed on the premises and will be removed by Law Enforcement and the Tournament Officials.
Fireworks are not allowed anywhere.
No portable BBQs of any kind is allowed.
D56- Esteli Park ballfields No peanut shells, sunflower seeds, candy, sugar drinks or any gum is allowed inside the playing fields. Only water is allowed. Sunflower seeds and peanut shells are NOT allowed in the stands or to be eaten by guests unless the shells are disposed of in a cup or paper/trash bag. Regular cleats are ok on the senior astro turf field.
D30- TUSTIN WESTERN: NO Seeds, NO Dogs, NO Bikes of any kind, allowed at the facility.
D30 – South Sunrise: NO GUM
