Games played at New Philadelphia City Schools located on 343 Ray Ave. NW, New Philadelphia, Ohio and at the Quaker Dome Fieldhouse located on 142 24th Drive NE, New Philadelphia, OH.

Team Entry Fee is $150 (3 game minimum)

Registration Deadline:  Jan. 20th, 2022

(In 2020, we had over 60 teams with all the divisions filled to capacity before the deadline)

Parental Consent-Waiver and Release

As the parent or guardian of the participant named above, (“my son”), I consent to my son participating in this activity.  I execute this document on her behalf.  My son is physically able to participate.  In consideration for being permitted to participate, I waive, and release any claims for personal injury, or other damages which may accrue to me, or my daughter as a result of participation in this activity.  This document is intended to discharge, in advance, New Philadelphia City Schools and New Philadelphia Quaker Club Boosters (its officers, employees, volunteers, and agents) from any liability in connection with my daughter’s participation in the activity.  I understand that this activity involves an element of risk and danger of accidents.  I assume those risks.  This document binds my successors and assigns.  I agree to indemnify and to hold the above person(s) or entities harmless from any loss, liability, damage, cost or expense which may incur as the result of any injury or damages sustained in connection with my son’s participation in the activity.  I consent to the administration of emergency medical services in the event of any injury to my son in connection with this activity.

2022 QUAKER CLUB CLASSIC

Rules and Regulations

• Format:  Each team will play in a round robin and tourney format.  Tourney Play will be determined through the winners bracket for the Quaker Classic.  Awards will be given to first and second place teams only.  Consolation brackets will be used if necessary but no prizes will be awarded.   Guaranteed (3) Games.
• Rosters:  Coaches are responsible to supply a scoresheet prior to each game.

• Games Play: Games will consist of (2) 18 minute running clock halves with the clock stopping the last (1) minute of each half.  
• Defense:  All grade levels may play multiple half court defenses (man or zone).
• Press:  3-4 Grade ONLY the final (2) minutes of the game, 5th and 6th grade the entire game (unless up 20 points).
• Foul Shots:  5-6 Grade use normal line, 3-4 Grade use a 12 foot line (but may not cross).  
• Overtime:  Consists of (1) minute with clock stopping on all whistles.
• Time-Outs:  (3) one minute time-outs per game with an additional timeout per overtime.
• Technical Fouls:  OHSAA rules apply for the 1st Technical Foul ruling.  A 2nd Technical Foul for any coach results in an ejection for the remainder of the tourney and must leave the building without permission from the tournament director.  A 2nd Technical Foul for any player results in an ejection from the game and a (2) game suspension.    
• Officials:  2 officials licensed through OHSAA will be assigned to each game.  OHSAA rules.
• Tie-Breaker Rule for each tournament selection seeding position:  Head to Head, Defensive Average, Coin Toss.
• Warm-Up: 5-10 minutes between games.  Each team must provide their own basketballs to warm-up.
• Scorestable:  A timekeeper and scorekeeper will be provided.
• Admission each day:  Players on the roster and (2) coaches per team are admitted free.  

Adults $5 =  Students/Seniors $3 = and under school age are free.

• Tournament Rosters and Payment must be received no later than January 20, 2022 in order to hold an entry spot.  
• Make checks payable to New Philadelphia Quaker Club.  Waiver forms must be turned during check in.  
• Pool Play Schedules will be posted by Jan. 26th.     THANKS!
